Tara presides over the Upstate's #1 all news/talk morning show every weekday on News/Talk 989 WORD.Tara's faithful listeners are affectionately known as "Tara-ists" because of their passion and participation in the show. Tara was named 2021 Best News Talk Show and Best overall Personality, AGAIN, by the South Carolina Broadcasters Association! Tara took home the same honors in 2018 and was also named 2016 "Personality of the Year!" In addition, Tara has also won over two dozen state and national journalism awards for column writing, news reporting and investigative reporting while working for three newspapers and writing for a variety of national publications. She won a first place reporting award from the North Carolina Press Association for an investigative series about the weaknesses in Charlotte's overburdened court system, which regularly let murderers off the hook with less than 15 years in prison. Due to her work, that system has been reformed. Tara is also a winner of the prestigious first place Green Eyeshade Award, a national award for column writing from The Society of Professional Journalists. Tara took to the airwaves about 15 years ago to do a radio show heard up and down the coast and fell in love with bypassing her editors to talk straight to the people. Tara hasn't stopped reporting, and still brings her investigative journalism to the show. Tara is a mom, wife and talk radio convert-- and weekday mornings she's live and local on News/Talk 989 WORD. Are you a "Tara-ist"? It's time to get captured!2024 © 2021 Audacy, Inc. Politique et gouvernement

    • Full Show - Media Meltdowns, Biden Blunders & Vaccine Secrets Exposed
      Feb 20 2026
From CBS equal-time chaos to Democrat ad racism, Idaho terror attempts, and COVID clot cover-ups — today’s episode dives into everything the mainstream media downplays. Plus, U.S. military spending in Europe and Ukraine is under fire as hidden truths emerge about billions wasted, nuclear risks, and base access blocked by allies. Tara connects the dots on political double standards, media hypocrisy, and the slow unraveling of official COVID narratives. 🎧 EPISODE SUMMARY This episode breaks down today’s biggest stories into three explosive themes: Media & politics, domestic threats, and hidden vaccine risks. 📺 Equal Time & Media Bias Stephen Colbert tried to interview Texas Senate candidate James Talarico, but CBS lawyers blocked him to comply with equal-time rules. Colbert blamed the Trump administration; the network clarified he could still interview digitally. Democrat candidate Jasmine Crockett was left out, highlighting partisan double standards. 🎨 Democrat Super PAC Racism A Democrat Super PAC running ads for Talarico darkened Crockett’s skin in campaign footage. PAC claimed the filter applied to everyone, but optics fueled accusations of racism and bias. 🚨 Idaho DHS Terror Attempt A suspect allegedly tried to breach a DHS building with a stolen ambulance rigged with fuel. Media labeled it “arson,” while federal officials described it as an attempted terrorist attack. Rodney Scott warned Congress about coordinated, well-funded efforts targeting law enforcement, including harassment of officers’ families online. 🧬 COVID Vaccine Blood Clots Exposed New England Journal of Medicine published studies confirming rare blood clots linked to early COVID vaccines (Johnson & Johnson, AstraZeneca). Online discussion of clot risks was censored for years; figures like Robert F. Kennedy Jr. were punished for raising concerns. VAERS reports suggest early shots caused thousands of deaths, with reporting likely undercounted by 90%. Senator Rand Paul continues to push for accountability and removal of pharmaceutical legal immunity. 🌍 U.S. Military Spending & EU Betrayal $175 billion spent defending Europe and Ukraine largely went to waste or was mismanaged. U.S. military access to strategic bases like Diego Garcia was blocked by allies during critical operations. Questions raised about U.S. troops stationed overseas without real authority, risking nuclear escalation while allies “rubbed us blind.” 🎯 PRIMARY THEMES Media hypocrisy & partisan censorship Domestic terror threats & law enforcement protection COVID vaccine transparency & accountability Democrat campaign ad ethics U.S. military spending, base access, and foreign policy risks 📢 SOCIAL MEDIA POST Equal time rules? Not censorship. Darkening a candidate’s skin? Racist optics. A DHS attack? Terror, not arson. COVID clot warnings? Silenced for years. Tara connects the dots on hypocrisy, hidden danger, and government missteps. 🎙 AmperWave Daily — tune in now. #MediaDoubleStandards #Election2026 #COVIDVaccine #NationalSecurity #PolicyMatters 🏷 HASHTAGS (First Comment) #StephenColbert #JasmineCrockett #JamesTalarico #IdahoAttack #COVIDVaccine #NEJM #RandPaul #DiegoGarcia #BidenAdmin #UkraineCrisis 🏷 CUSTOM LABELS equal time controversy, cbs legal dispute, democrat super pac ad scandal, idaho dhs incident, media framing debate, covid clot study, vaers reporting discussion, pharmaceutical immunity debate, us uk base access tension, transatlantic policy conflict

    • H1: Aliens, Iran & Domestic Chaos — America on Edge
      Feb 20 2026
Trump jokes about aliens — then orders declassification. Iran gets 15 days. DHS offices are attacked. And Democrats implode in a Texas Senate race scandal. Tara breaks down a news cycle that feels like a fever dream — but isn’t. 🎧 EPISODE SUMMARY Three of the top global headlines involve one question: Are aliens real? After comments from Barack Obama, Donald Trump joked about “classified information”… then signaled he may declassify everything. Will it be real disclosure — or another disappointment like past file releases? But while social media obsesses over UFOs, the real clock is ticking elsewhere. ⏳ Iran: 15 Days The President has extended Iran’s deadline from 10 to 15 days to strike a nuclear deal. According to The Wall Street Journal, the White House is weighing a limited strike targeting military or regime sites if Tehran refuses to end nuclear enrichment. Iran says its ballistic missile program is “not negotiable.” Russia is urging restraint. Tara connects the bigger story: Years of sanctions enforcement vs. non-enforcement Frozen assets released under prior administrations The 2020 strike on Qasem Soleimani Pentagon assessments linking Iranian-backed militias to 603 U.S. troop deaths in Iraq Why some believe this confrontation is unfinished business This didn’t start yesterday. 🚨 Domestic Escalation Meanwhile, violence against federal facilities is escalating. A stolen ambulance was reportedly driven into an Idaho Department of Homeland Security building in what authorities are investigating as an attack. Former Border Patrol Chief Rodney Scott warned Congress about coordinated efforts targeting law enforcement officers, including doxxing and threats against families. FBI Director Kash Patel has stated investigations are underway into organized funding sources behind unrest. Tara asks: Are we applying the same standards to political violence across the board? 🗳 Texas Senate Race Controversy Late-night host Stephen Colbert sparked controversy after claiming federal interference prevented him from interviewing a Democratic Senate candidate. Meanwhile, Rep. Jasmine Crockett accused a Democratic-aligned PAC of running ads that darkened her skin tone — calling it racist. The Texas Democratic primary between Crockett and James Talarico is now engulfed in internal accusations of bias and misconduct. Tara’s takeaway: The political temperature isn’t cooling. It’s accelerating. Aliens. Iran. Federal facilities. Senate scandals. This isn’t slow news season. 📢 TALKING POINTS Trump signals alien file declassification Skepticism after past “file releases” Iran’s 15-day deadline Potential limited strike scenario Soleimani strike and U.S. troop casualties DHS facility attack in Idaho Claims of coordinated unrest Texas Democratic Senate race racism allegations 🎯 SOCIAL MEDIA POST 👽 Aliens? ⏳ Iran: 15 days. 🚨 DHS building attacked. 🗳 Democrats implode in Texas. This news cycle isn’t weird — it’s volatile.
