    Good Theology (October 18, 2026)

Join us as we go behind the scenes of this week’s message and talk about what makes theology good. Theology is simply the study of God and his work in the world, and Bono’s line “I still haven’t found what I’m looking for” reminds us why it matters: good theology helps us find what we’re searching for and do what God wants us to do. We look at Apollos in Acts 18—an eloquent, Scripture-competent, fervent man who still had a hole in his theology—and then walk through the marks of good theology: it is based on God’s revelation, gospel-centered, developed in community, keeps the main thing the main thing, and, most importantly, produces godly living. Right theology may pass a test; good theology transforms.

To an Unknown God (October 11, 2026)

Join us as we go behind the scenes of this week’s message from Acts 17 and talk about Paul’s visit to the Areopagus in Athens. Bill opened by pointing to Glenn Scrivener’s categories of the nones, the dones, and the wons, and asked which one fits us. From there we walk through why God still matters in a modern world: because everyone believes in something, because he is the Creator who needs nothing from us yet generously gives, because our times are in his hands, because he wants us to know him, and because one day he will judge the world. Along the way we look at how Paul found common ground, met people where they were, and pointed to the resurrection without treating Christianity as something far from peoples lives.

    What's Your Story?

Join us as we go behind the scenes of this week's message and talk about the stories that shape a life. In Acts 16, three of them collide in Philippi: a slave girl whose story still felt unfinished, Paul and Silas singing while they suffered for doing what God called them to do, and a jailer whose night ended in salvation. For the unfinished story, keep exploring, and trust that God sees you even when you feel unknown. For the story of suffering, it is okay to feel, and singing can lift your eyes when the night is long. For the story of salvation, faith alone saves, and what God has done is reason to rejoice.
