Does separation of church and state mean Christians should keep their faith out of politics? Or have we confused religious freedom with staying silent?

In the first episode of The Staton Report, Tim Staton examines the First Amendment, religious liberty, and the responsibility to participate in public life. Speaking from a Christian conservative perspective, he makes the case that bringing your convictions to the voting booth is not the same as using government to impose religion on someone else.

Tim breaks down the Establishment Clause and Free Exercise Clause, discusses the Supreme Court’s Kennedy v. Bremerton school-prayer decision, and challenges the idea that citizenship means voting for president and ignoring everything else. School boards, city councils, county commissions, and state legislatures make decisions that affect your family and community. Who is showing up to make those decisions?

The discussion also considers civic organizing in Paterson, New Jersey, and Dearborn, Michigan, while arguing that public officials should be judged by one standard: respect for the Constitution, equal rights, character, competence, and responsible use of power.

In this episode:

• What separation of church and state means for faith and citizenship.
• Why every voter brings values to the ballot box.
• How religious liberty differs from government-imposed religion.
• What Kennedy v. Bremerton says about personal religious expression.
• Why local elections and civic participation matter.
• Practical steps to become a more informed, engaged, and accountable citizen.

Bring your faith. Bring your values. Respect the rights of others. And be willing to serve.

Trailer: Welcome to The Staton Report

For over two decades, I stood in the rooms where decisions get made and where the people who made them had to answer for what happened next. Now I've hijacked the frequency, and you're tuned in.

The Staton Report is where politics, national security, and policy get the same treatment I gave them. Which is just a hard look at what happened, why it happened, and who's responsible. Built on a career of leadership and accountability, this show sits down with the decisions shaping the country, and the people making them, to cut through the noise everyone else is trained to leave standing.

This is the trailer. The series is coming soon.

Leadership. Policy. Perspective. Welcome to The Staton Report.

This episode explains why midterm elections are not an intermission but the moment that decides who controls budgets, confirms judges, and governs at the state level.

It focuses on Georgia—key dates (early voting Oct 13–30, Election Day Nov 3, possible runoffs), major races (Senate, governor, all state offices), and ballot amendments—and outlines how small turnout shifts can change results.

Listeners are urged to confirm registration, study the full ballot, watch candidate debates, vote early or on Election Day, and consider serving in local office to protect community interests.
