Sacred Resonance is a contemplative, prophetic podcast guiding listeners into clarity, calling, and spiritual alignment. Rooted in Black queer spirituality, ancestral wisdom, and embodied theology, each episode weaves story, insight, and sacred practice at the pace of formation rather than urgency. This is a space of depth over reaction, resonance over performance, and listening that lingers. Listen slowly. Return often.Larry J. Morris III Spirituality

  • The Ancestors Are Not Behind Us
    28 Oct 2026

What happens to our relationships with those we love when they become ancestors? Does death bring those relationships to an end, or might it change the ways we experience them?

In this episode of The Sacred Resonance Podcast, Reverend Larry J. Morris III reflects on the death of his mother and the ways their relationship continues beyond her physical presence. Through personal stories, ancestral encounters, and reflections on Christian scripture and African-derived spiritual traditions, Larry explores ancestry as more than memory—as a living relationship that can include wisdom, guidance, correction, and communion.

From the biblical great cloud of witnesses to ancestors of blood, tradition, and vocation, this conversation explores what it means to honor those who came before us without idealizing them. It also considers the importance of spiritual agency, consent, boundaries, and discerning which inheritances we choose to carry forward.

Released ahead of All Saints Day and All Souls Day, this episode offers an invitation to remember, honor, and become more attentive to the ancestors who continue to shape our lives.

A question to carry: What have I inherited that I want to carry forward, and what have I inherited that I am ready to release?

  • Delivered Into Queerness
    21 Oct 2026

What if deliverance isn't about being freed from queerness, but about discovering freedom within it?

After sharing that he had been “delivered from heteronormativity into queerness,” Reverend Larry J. Morris III received a range of responses—including the familiar claim that queerness and Christianity cannot coexist. But what if we've misunderstood both deliverance and the possibilities of queerness?

In this episode of The Sacred Resonance Podcast, Larry explores queerness beyond sexuality, without excluding sexuality, as a way of questioning inherited norms, restrictive gender roles, and the systems that shape our lives. Drawing from bell hooks, the Combahee River Collective, and queer theological imagination, he reflects on the relationship between identity, spirituality, and liberation.

The conversation invites us to reconsider how our identities shape our understanding of the Sacred, how cultural assumptions influence theology, and what becomes possible when we imagine relationships, communities, and spiritual practices beyond the boundaries we've inherited.

A question to carry: What have you been taught is normal that you might be ready to question?

  • When Your Spiritual World Gets Bigger
    14 Oct 2026

What happens when your spiritual world becomes bigger than the beliefs, categories, and experiences that have shaped you?

In this episode of The Sacred Resonance Podcast, Reverend Larry J. Morris III explores spiritual expansion—not necessarily as a rejection of what we’ve inherited, but as an invitation to deeper understanding, experience, and discernment.

Drawing from his journey through progressive Christianities, Black American spiritual traditions, mysticism, and African and African diasporic traditions, including Ifá, Larry reflects on how our encounters with the Sacred can challenge, affirm, and enlarge what we understand to be possible. He also considers the similarities he has experienced between Christian prophetic traditions and Ifá divination, while honoring their distinct spiritual frameworks.

From inherited theology and identity to ancestral relationships, spiritual communication, and inner knowing, this conversation invites us to remain curious about what we’re becoming and discovering.

A question to carry: Where is your spiritual world expanding, and what might you be invited to reconsider, receive, or release?
