  • Talkin’ Off The Top Rope Ep. 12: Barbara Goodish
    4 Nov 2026

This week, “The Grizzled Vet” Michael McCurdy sits down with Barbara Goodish, the widow of Bruiser Brody, for a very different kind of wrestling conversation.

Rather than focusing only on the legendary wild man fans saw in the ring, Barbara tells the story of Frank Goodish the man, how they met in Australia, how their relationship began, what life was like with a wrestler who spent most of the year on the road, and the family they built together.

Barbara also shares stories about Frank as a husband and father, the quiet side of him fans rarely saw, the way he separated Bruiser Brody from his home life, and the plans he was already making for life after wrestling.

It’s a warm, personal look at one of wrestling’s most unforgettable figures from the person who knew him better than anyone.

This isn’t just the story of Bruiser Brody.

It’s the story of Frank Goodish.

  • RWR USWA Podcast Ep. 126 (3/14/92) Young Gun II: Still Not Wendell Cooley
    4 Nov 2026

Things are getting uncomfortable in Memphis and Dirty White Boy Tony Anthony is on his way back to do something about it.

Gene Jackson, Josh Briley, and Brian Tramel head back to March 14, 1992, where Eric Embry takes his issues with the Dirty White Girl way too far, setting the stage for Tony Anthony’s return to the Mid-South Coliseum.

Meanwhile, Jeff Jarrett resurfaces after his back injury (sorta), the Moondogs continue destroying everything they can get their hands on, Dr. Death still has Nurse Cratchit beating people’s heads in with a bed pan, and the mysterious Lauren Davenport continues scouting the USWA roster.

We also get the return of Robert Fuller’s recent “one-off” tag team partner, the “Young Gun” Mike Mitchell, Tony “Bruce Lee” Falk reveals he’s actually a NINJA, and perhaps the most Memphis tag team imaginable: Dr. Tom Prichard and “Fat Boy Potatoes” as “Fat Boy Meat” has apparently already quit the company.

And looming over everything is an upcoming eight man tag team war involving Lawler, Kamala, (not) Jeff Jarrett, the Moondogs, Richard Lee and the returning “Boogie Woogie Man” Handsome Jimmy Valiant. (oh and probably Dr. Tom Prichard)

1992 USWA continues to get stranger by the week.
