How can we truly prepare our souls for Rosh Hashanah?

Drawing on the teachings of Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach, we explore what it means to begin again, make meaningful resolutions, and actually follow through on the changes we want to make.

Starting is important. Finishing takes courage. But perhaps the deepest courage is perseverance: continuing even when we fail, struggle, or don't live up to what we hoped for.

As we approach Rosh Hashanah, may Hashem bless us with holy beginnings, the strength to keep going, and the courage to become more fully who we are meant to be.

What should we actually look for in a real friend?

Drawing on the teachings of Rebbe Nachman of Breslov and Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach, we explore a deeper vision of friendship. A true friend isn't simply someone who spends time with you, invites you over, or knows you well. A true friend sees what you could become.

Real friendship gives courage. It makes room for dreams. It gives us the strength to become more fully who Hashem created us to be.

As we approach Rosh Hashanah and the season of teshuvah, may we find the friends who believe in our souls—and may we become those friends for others.
