À propos de ce contenu audio

My show's moniker is The Quest for Silver - songs from a bygone era that were NOT number one but we fondly remember them and want to hear them and some of the stories around them. So if you are a fan of the best era in pop music you have come to the right place. I'm Chris Tuffer and I started broadcasting these old tunes back on the 1960's so I and you remember them well. Anything from The Beatles, The Stones, The Mamas and the Papas, The Monkees and well the list is almost endless. Please come by and check out my podcast with mostly music and a modicum of chatter.

A little bit me and a little bit you is the first secondary song this hour on our podcast by the Monkees followed by Millie Small who was indeed not very tall and her smash hit My Boy Lollipop. Billy J. Kramer and Do you want to know a secret is next. The Worst that could happen is up now by the Brooklyn Bridge. This next selection is by Guess Who called Raindance. The rest is waiting for you to tune in.

It hurts to be in love is true but it is also the title of Gene Pitney's song that gets our podcast underway. Next is Connie Francis with My Happiness. Dean Martin had a few big hits back in the day like this one called That's Amore. Next from 1965 are The Seekers Don't think twice. Andy Kim recorded the following song called Rock me gently in 1974. Stay tuned and I hope you enjoy the rest.

Locomotion was a great song that hit the charts by Little Eva in 1962 and then again by The GFR in 1974 and one more time by Kylie Minogue in 1988. We offer the original by Little Eva to begin our Quest for Silver. Everybody knows by the DC5 is the second of two songs with the same title by the same band. This one is the second from 1967. The rest is waiting for your ears.
