  • From Young Love to a Second Chance: Uncle Earl & Aunt Terri’s 40-Year Love Story ❤️
    Sep 15 2026

What happens when two people meet young, go their separate ways, build completely different lives, and somehow find their way back to each other decades later?

Charles Mabry sits down with family members Uncle Earl and Aunt Terri for a hilarious, honest, and heartfelt conversation about a love story that started back in 1980 and took more than 30 years to find its way home.

They met when Terri was just 17 and Earl was 19. They never officially dated, but life brought them together, eventually leading to their son Julius. They went on to marry other people, raise families, and live separate lives while somehow remaining connected through the years.

Then in 2010, after Earl’s father passed away, Terri came to the funeral. Both were divorced at the time, and that moment became the beginning of a second chapter.

Three years later, they were married.

    The conversation goes deep into:

❤️ How their relationship started more than 40 years ago

👨‍👩‍👦 Co-parenting their son while building separate lives

⏳ Why timing played such a major role in their relationship

💔 The mistakes, immaturity, and life lessons that kept them apart

🙏 The love and forgiveness that gave them another chance

💍 How they eventually found their way back to each other

❤️ Why friendship and genuine love can have more staying power than attraction

🎶 Their connection to George Clinton, P-Funk, and the Nappy Dugout community

✈️ Family, travel, food, sports, Memphis, Houston, and plenty of laughs along the way

This isn't just a love story. It's a story about timing, forgiveness, friendship, family, and finding your way back to the person who never stopped loving you.

Sometimes the person you're meant to be with isn't someone new. Sometimes, they're the person you've known all along. ❤️

Watch the full conversation and hear Uncle Earl and Aunt Terri tell their story in their own words.

Red breaks down the business side of hip-hop that most artists never get taught.

    In this episode:

    ■ How Red taught himself production and built a name in Memphis before the internet made it easy

    ■ The financial lessons behind Young Dolph and Nipsey Hussle's legacies, and why their stories still matter
