EPISODE SUMMARY

For the past two episodes, you have heard the caregiving season through Angie’s eyes. Today, you get to hear it through someone else who was watching, loving, and quietly holding her up through all of it.

Angie’s sister Kristi joins her for an honest, unscripted conversation about what it looks like to support someone you love through the hardest season of their life — from the outside looking in.

This episode is different. It is not a solo story. It is a kitchen table conversation between two sisters who have never fully sat down and talked about this before. And the things Kristi shares — what she saw, what she worried about, what she carried quietly on her own side — may just be the thing that helps you feel less alone in whatever role you are playing in someone else’s hard season.

Whether you are the one going through it, or the one standing beside someone who is — this episode is for you.

MEET KRISTI

Kristi is Angie’s sister, based in Rhome, Texas, and one of the people who held Angie together during the caregiving season with Ray — even when Angie didn’t fully realize it at the time. In this episode, Kristi shares her own perspective on Ray, on watching her sister carry an almost impossible season, and on what supporting a caregiver really looks like from the inside.

IN THIS EPISODE

• Who Ray was through Kristi’s eyes — a perspective on the man Angie loved, told by someone else who loved him too

• What it was like for Kristi to watch Angie walk through the caregiving season from the outside

• What Kristi worried about most — and whether Angie knew how she really looked during that time

• The moments Kristi could see Angie was not okay, even when Angie believed she was holding it together

• What Kristi was quietly carrying on her own side that Angie could not see from inside the storm

• How Kristi knew when to step in — and when to simply be present

• Things Kristi wanted to say back then but didn’t — and what she would say now

• What that season taught Kristi about love, family, and showing up

• A word from Kristi to anyone who is walking alongside a caregiver right now

FROM THIS EPISODE

“If you’re the one doing the holding — I see you too.” — Angie

THIS ONE IS FOR THE SUPPORTERS

Every caregiver has people around them who are carrying their own version of the weight. The sisters, the brothers, the friends, the ones calling to check in at 10pm. The ones who pray and don’t always know what else to do.

This episode gives voice to that role. If you have ever stood on the outside of someone’s storm and wondered if what you were doing was enough — this conversation is for you.

And if you have someone in your life who has been holding you up through a hard season — this might be the episode you share with them. Let them hear themselves in Kristi’s words. Let them know you see what they have been carrying.

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT

Angie closes this episode with a challenge that is worth sitting with:

• Is there someone in your life who has been quietly holding you up? Have you told them thank you?

• Are you the one doing the holding right now? Are you taking care of yourself too?

• Who in your circle might be carrying a caregiving season silently, needing someone to simply show up?

The conversation continues. Stay close — there is more to come.

And as always, remember:

You don’t have to be strong today. You just have to be here.

Grace is holding you. Grit will meet you when it’s time. And God is carrying every step you take.

Be gentle with yourself.
