Next, on Monday, December 8, at 6:00 PM, the Institute of Fine Arts is hosting the Annual Aphrodisias Lecture. Professor Roland R. R. Smith will discuss new research and discoveries from 2025. You can watch it live online. And don't miss the "One Hundred Steps" 25th Anniversary screening at Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimò on Monday, December 8, at 7:00 PM. It's part of the Italy on Screen Today Film & TV Series Fest. With the semester winding down, our athletic teams are taking a breather. No major games are scheduled this week. Use this time to focus on your studies and gear up for finals. Looking for a break from studying? On Monday, December 8, at 6:30 PM, there's a Belonging B'Yachad Hanukkah party at Beren Campus. Make sure to check your exam schedule and start preparing early. Next, the WinterFest: Sight & Sound Showcase is happening this Friday, December 5, at 5:00 PM at 721 Broadway, Lower Level. It's a great opportunity to see faculty-nominated work from our Film & TV students. Lastly, the NYU Percussion Ensemble is performing tonight, December 1, from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Don't miss this rhythmic showcase. Our men's basketball team kicked off their West Coast trip with a solid 78-63 win over California Lutheran University on November 26. Carnegie Johnson led the charge with 20 points. The Violets continue their road games this week. The Wagner Health Network is hosting a Fall Trivia Night tonight, December 1, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. It's a fun way to unwind and test your knowledge. Also, the NYU Composers’ Ensemble is performing on December 3, from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Experience new compositions by our talented students. First up—Wednesday, November 26, is a Legislative Day, so classes will follow a Friday schedule. Then, Thursday and Friday, November 27-28, are Thanksgiving Recess—no classes scheduled. Next, the fall semester is winding down, with classes ending on December 11. Final exams are scheduled from December 15 to 19. Finally, if you're planning to travel during the break, be aware that early snow is possible in late November to early December, especially in upstate regions and metropolitan suburbs. Over the weekend, our men's basketball team secured a thrilling victory against the University of Rochester, with a final score of 78-72. Sophomore guard Alex Thompson led the charge, scoring 24 points and grabbing 8 rebounds. Looking ahead, the team will face off against Brandeis University at home this Saturday at 3 p.m. Let's pack the stands and show our support! This Tuesday, the NYU Film Club is hosting a special screening of "Moonlight" at 7 p.m. in the Kimmel Center. It's a great opportunity to unwind before the holiday break.
