To conclude our 4-part series celebrating Black History Month, The Lovecast pays tribute to legendary Nigerian multi-instrumentalist, activist, and the father of Afrobeat music, the late great Fela Anikulapo Kuti. The subject of numerous documentary films, in-depth podcasts, and a Broadway musical based on his life. Now, 29 years after his passing, Fela has just been honoured with the 2026 Grammy Award for Lifetime Achievement in Music.
