After the Lockout Podcast's first season in 2024 we are back to preview the 2025 season with Josh, Hawko, Ryan and Croxy for all your AFL Fantasy needs.

We review all the teams in ladder order in reverse for 2025 in the lead up to the start of the 2025 AFL season.

The boys talk about players from a fantasy standpoint who excited them from 2024, and also who they are looking to turn to in 2025.

After we make our way through the whole league, we will run through our Defence, Midfield, Forwards and Rucks and give you insights into who we are finalising in our own teams for 2025.

  • AFL Fantasy 2026 - Trade Period Recap
    15 Oct 2026

The 2026 AFL Trade Period has officially wrapped up, and some of the biggest names in the competition are on the move!

With Josh away in Japan, Ryan, Croxy and Hawko are back to break down every confirmed trade in the order it happened, including the massive five club deal involving Zach Butters, Rowan Marshall's move to Geelong, Zach Merrett joining Hawthorn, Lachie Neale heading to Collingwood and Scott Pendlebury making his way to the Gold Coast Suns.

The boys discuss which clubs came out on top, who paid too much, and which teams could be in serious trouble heading into 2027. They also revisit last year's trades to see which moves actually paid off before ranking the biggest winners and losers of this year's trade period.

With an AFL Fantasy focus, the boys finish by looking at which players could benefit most from a fresh start, including Rowan Marshall, Nick Blakey, Lachie Whitfield and Nathan O'Driscoll, and what their new roles could mean for Fantasy coaches in 2027.

  • AFL Fantasy 2026 - Ladder Predictions + Breakout and Ultimate Pick Results
    26 Sep 2026

The boys are back for one final look at the 2026 AFL Fantasy season, and this time they’re facing the predictions they made before a ball was bounced. After managing just three correct ladder predictions from a possible 72, the boys revisit every club to see how their pre-season breakout players and Ultimate Picks actually performed. From great calls like Bodhi Uwland, Jagger Smith, Dyson Sharp and Jase Burgoyne to some absolute shockers they’d rather forget, Hawko brings the receipts and nobody is safe.

With all 18 clubs reviewed, the final results are tallied to see which Lockout host actually knew what they were talking about heading into 2026, and who has some explaining to do before making their 2027 predictions. It’s a final chance to laugh at the good, the bad and the horribly wrong calls from another massive AFL Fantasy season.

Next episode we will review the Grand Final, and look at Trade Period for AFL teams to the 2027 Season before the 2027 Season Draft.

  • Round 24, and Season Review - AFL Fantasy 2026
    8 Sep 2026

The 2026 AFL Fantasy season is officially in the books, and the boys are back for one final round review to wrap up Round 24 and look back on the season as a whole.

Josh, Croxy and Hawko break down their final scores, rankings and team values, reflect on what went right and wrong throughout the year, and discuss a season that was heavily impacted by injuries to premium players. The final Lockout Brownlow votes are handed out, with Harry Sheezel crowned the 2026 winner after a record breaking season, while Christian Petracca earns the unfortunate honour of back to back Flop of the Year awards. The boys also congratulate Coach Jesse of the "LeCras Bunch", the winner of the Lockout Podcast Community Shield and look at some of the standout performances from the Lockout community.

To finish the season, the boys work through the All Australian squad, debate who deserved to make the final team and discuss some of the biggest snubs before looking ahead to what's coming next from The Lockout.

Most importantly, a massive thank you to everyone who listened, followed along, interacted with the show and became part of the community throughout 2026. Three years in and we're still loving doing this podcast, and we couldn't do it without you.
