The Jack Benny Program - "Series Synopsis" (Old Time Radio, 2019)
-
Narrated by:

By:
Adapted from John Dunning’s The Encyclopedia of Old Time Radio, the synopsis traces Jack Benny’s evolution from an early sponsor-and-music format into the character-driven comedy built around Benny’s famously vain, miserly radio persona and his recurring ensemble. It also touches on the program’s 1932–1958 radio run and changing sponsors.
The Jack Benny Program presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
