During the course of this podcast our host Dan Smith, head of Summus College and one time student athlete himself, will help you explore the different areas of the US collegiate athletic system. We want to help you, our listeners, better understand the opportunity and support you whilst you navigate your own journey and experience stateside. With over 20 years of experience in the NCAA, he knows the system inside out and has guided student-athletes to NCAA national titles and Olympic Games.

He shares his experience, gives advice to athletes looking to unlock sports scholarships in the USA, and talks about how student-athletes should approach conversations with coaches and universities.

Having just completed her 4th and final competitive season as a Sun Devil and having secured a 4th consecutive team National Championship, Amber shares her ASU experience and general thoughts on how triathlon is continuing to develop in the US college and university sports system. Amber also looks back on her junior career and shares insights into how she picked Arizona State University and secured that all-important sports scholarship. If you are a young triathlete looking to head to the US on a sports scholarship, this podcast episode is a great place to start.
