  • Before the Beginning - Understanding God - Jesus the Son
    Dec 4 2025

In this episode we begin the journey, but we can’t enter the text of the Bible yet because we must first understand the author. Why? Because the Author existed before Genesis 1:1. In the first three episodes we will explore who is God. God claims to be the Author behind all of the Bible which the Bible itself claims numerous times. 2 Timothy 3:16 says: All Scripture is breathed out by God. So if this God is the author - what does He say about Himself. Well first we must understand who He claims to be.

The first book of the Bible is known as Genesis. The original language of the writing was Hebrew. In Hebrew the word used for God in the first chapter was Elohim. The construction of this word proves who the author, God, is identifying Himself to be. The word means God, but the ending of the word indicates this God is plural. Yet at the same time the verbs that are used with this word for God are almost always singular verbs rather than plural. So God is identifying Himself already in the first 5 words of the story as a God who is many, but still one.

This idea has been defined as the Trinity. A God who is one, but has three beings. There is God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit.

In this episode we will explore this God who was there before the beginning. In this episode we will identify who is Jesus Christ the Son.

  • Introduction
    Dec 3 2025

What is the purpose? This opening episode outlines just that. It describes what is in store for not just skeptics and believers but everyone in between. It outlines the goal: To find the heart of God in His message to us. To find our rest in His redemptive plan. We aren't telling a story - we are finding the story God has given us. This is the invitation for those who are thirsty.
