Show Name: The Fan and The Foe

Episode Title: Major League Baseball with Majorly Obsessed Fans

Gabbi: You are listening to The Fan and The Foe with your host(s) Gabbi and Louisa.

Louisa: In this episode of The Fan and The Foe we are discussing the world of sports, more specifically baseball!

      Gabbi: Ewwww

Louisa: Hey! Already trying to start arguments I see

      Gabbi: you know me

Louisa: Well, baseball is America's game so you can't really diss it without the majority of people being mad

      Gabbi: whatever

Segment 1: Louisa talks about sports/ Banter!

Louisa: Well, if you couldn't already tell, gabbi is not the fan here, I am

Gabbi: yea, I am anything but a fan, I just get the merch and look cute

Louisa: I hate that type of person, you guys are all such fake fans.

Gabbi: well it seems you hate everyone, so thats no surprise

Louisa: Fair enough, but if there's one thing I don't hate, its the yankees, except when the blow a game in the middle of the fifth inning

Gabbi: What does that even mean?

Louisa: the yankees or the blowing a game in the fifth inning

Gabbi: the inning thing, duhh of course I know who the yankees they are the worst team in baseball, we root strictly for philly teams in my house, are they were like people in historical times

      Louisa: oh lord I hope you're joking…

Gabbi: of course im joking, the yankees are like THE epitome of baseball NOT

Louisa: okay thank gosh you know something, you're already a better foe than me

Gabbi: yea, usually you don't know anything

Louisa: okay okay we get it you're better than me

      Gabbi: im what???!

      Louisa: dont push it…

      Gabbi: fine fine

Louisa: Okay well anyways I was born a yankees fan, I love going to the bronx despite the horrific drive to get there. I have probably been to about 10 games, which isn’t a lot but I feel like it could get a little repetitive if I went to too to many

Gabbi: Well you know what doesn’t get repetitive, watching the hunger games over and over and over again someone please try and help me convince louisa to watch the hunger games with me

Louisa: whatever you're trying to suggest lets stop it right there

      Gabbi: mhm

Louisa: But seriously there's something about going to a yankees, game or even any game in person that is just so special.

Gabbi: like what. I feel like the games get so boring after a while, anytime i go see baseball the only thing i focus on is the food, especially the cotton candy but past that what's the point?

Louisa: the traditions gabbi, like the yankee’s bleacher creatures chanting all of the players names before the the first inning of every game, or the singing of sweet caroline, or even the dance battles that happen on top of dugouts

Gabbi: Oh I know about those. They can get…intresting

Louisa: oh yes they can. But they're really so fun to watch

Gabbi: I'll agree with you there

      Segment 2: Trivia

Louisa: anyways… My dad, my brother and I got the amazing opportunity to go to a world series game last year- like two seasons ago when they played the Dodgers. They had just forced a game 5, and so our friends had some tickets that they auctioned off. We went and it took FOREVER to get in for one, but the game started off really well

Gabbi: this sounds like its going south

Louisa: oh it does. Basically we all had bets on who would hit a homerun on the yankees, and I had bet on Judge, my dad on Stanton, and I think my brother on Chisolm, I kinda forget, and I remember I think only my dad and I won, but im again, not sure

Gabbi: So when does this get interesting??

Louisa: Jeez okay I'll fast forward. Basically the yankees were ahead by a lot in the fifth inning when it all went south. Gerritt Cole, the pitcher didn’t cover a base

      Episode Title: K-Pop Demon Hunters

Welcome back! You are listening to The Fan and the Foe with your host(s) Gabbi and Louisa .

In this episode of The Fan and the Foe the Podcast we discuss: All things K-pop and K-pop demon hunters

Segment 1: Introduction to all things K-Pop

Gabbi: Soooo todays topic neither of us are the most well versed in but as per usual I have at least seen and enjoyed watching Kpop demon hunters and Louisa is completely and udderly clueless

Louisa: You can’t say I am completely and utterly clueless on everything

Gabbi: Well you never seem to know what's going on here

Louisa: Just because I don’t know what every member of 1D’s blood type is doesn't mean I am clueless. I know plenty of things. Plus I have actually been in the room while Kpop demon hunters were playing so I can’t be that clueless.

Gabbi: Ohhhh well if you're so knowledgeable now why don’t you tell us what you think you know about Kpop Demon hunters.

Louisa: Uhhh. So you see it's a movie on netflix that little kids seem to love about demons fighting kpop?

Gabbi: absolutely not. You literally just recited the title but wrong. Come on at least try next time The show focuses on 3 main girls, Rumi mira and zoey who are a part of a kpop group called huntrix by day and demon hunters by night, they are all the rage until this new band of guys called the saja boys threaten their popularity with their first hit single.

The one twist is all of the guys are secretly demons trying to corrupt their fans and break the protective barrier between the human world and the demon realm

Louisa: Ok so maybe I was a teeny tiny bit off

Gabbi: Sureeee. Well I never would’ve known all of this if it weren’t for [babysitting story and little cousin that LOVES kpop demon hunters]. It is extremely popular with younger kids, but there are also plenty of people, high schoolers and older who also loved this movie

      1. Record breaking streams on netflix—> it got put into theaters sing along style
      2. The movie brought together kpop and korean folklore and tied it all together with catchy lyrics and elaborate animations

The songs from the movie were so popular that they were on the radio and I can’t lie golden is a BOP.

Louisa: correction, it WAS a bop, now its just overplayed

Gabbi: you have to admit its super catchy

Louisa: Oh 100 percent, it totally was, but now it's a bit much. Its like WICKED, except wicked songs weren't overplayed so I still love them

Gabbi: OMG I just saw for good in theatres and it was SO GOOD, like Cynthia Erivo is an icon

Louisa: I gonna do something crazy, and actually agree with you

Gabbi: wow, what a rare occurrence

Louisa: I know right, but anyways Kpop demon hunters is definitely gonna take gen alpha by storm if it hasnt all ready

Gabbi: Its gonna be their High school musical

Louisa: How dare you make that comparison. An okay animated film against one of the most iconic franchises to ever exist for teens. I think not.

Gabbi: fine maybe that was a bit much, but you get the point

Ok now lets do my favorite part where louisa has even less clue about whats going on then normal.. Trivia!!!!! But first, a quick break where you can hear about one of our friends' podcasts!!

Segment 2: Banter and Trivia 1. In many K-pop demon-hunter storylines, what special ability often distinguishes the group’s leader?

      A. Super strength

      B. Time manipulation

      C. Enhanced intuition

      D. Fire breath

      Correct Answer: C. Enhanced intuition

      2. In a typical K-pop...

      Jan 6 2026

      Hopewell Valley Student Podcasting Network

Show Name: The Fan & The Foe

Episode Title: 1 Direction, 1 Crazy Fandom

You are listening to The Fan and the Foe podcast with your host(s) Gabbi and Louisa.

In this episode of The Fan and the Foe we will be discussing One Direction, and the crazy fans that follow them.

Segment 1: 1D background and rise to fame

Gabbi: In 2010 4 British and 1 Irish guys came on to essentially the British equivalent of America's got Talent, called the x-factor, Simon Cowell included, they came as soloists and left as the biggest boy band since the Backstreet Boys.

They released the absolute banger What Makes You Beautiful that is still played at every school function, wedding and grocery store that I've ever been to, even 15 years later. But hey! Everyone knows it's fantastic so why not.

Originally there were 5 members of 1D, Liam Paine, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, and Niall Horan and together they release 4 albums, Zayn left the group after a fall out and then they released their last album before they went on what they called an “18 month hiatus” which ten years later fans are still waiting for a comeback from. Y'know I too am waiting for a new 1D song or album or better yet a tour, but it'll never be the same as liam passed this year.

      Candlelight vigil on hiatus

      Up all night

      Take me home

      Midnight memories

      Made in the AM

      Four

They have all had very successful solo careers

      Segment 2: Banter and Trivia

Louisa: On a scale of 1 to 10, how unhinged are you people?

      Gabbi: like… a 15. Minimum.

Louisa: . See? You didn’t even hesitate.

Gabbi: There’s nothing to hesitate about! We were dedicated and committed. And probably Willing to go to war in a mall parking lot for a guy

Louisa: You say that like it’s normal.

Gabbi:if you heard a rumor that Harry was spotted at a random Whole Foods, wouldn’t you sprint there?

Louisa: uhhh No! I’d continue buying groceries like a sane person, but maybe want to crop a picture but like that's it! He's a person too and deserves to have his own space and function like a normal human being. But I know you would abandon carts, and dignity.

Gabbi: Dignity was never part of the One Direction experience. That’s step one but you wouldn't get out. You get in the fandom, you hand over your dignity, you pick up a poster, write a fan fiction and then you scream!

Louisa: Honestly that sounds like joining a cult. Common theme huh. Maybe we should rename this podcast so it reflects cults instead of fandoms

Gabbi: But it is a fun cult, though.

Louisa: CUTE? Gabbi, you people tracked flight numbers.

      Gabbi: Okay okay thats wierd

Louisa: This is why I can't be with you and your logic sometimes. You treat every bit of information like it’s national security intelligence.

Gabbi: Because it was to some people I guess! At any moment, the members could appear.

Louisa: You’re describing it like One Direction was the Hunger Games.

Gabbi: Hunger games??!!! I love the hunger games

      Louisa: I swear to God.

      Gabbi: you said it first

Louisa: Okay but honestly… Why are y’all so loud? Like astronomically loud. You could probably hear a Directioner scream from two zip codes away because I read there were so many noise complaints around concerts.

Gabbi: Because we have feelings duhh,

      Louisa: loud ones…

      Gabbi: Hey.

Louisa: I get emotional too but like never to the point where I’m sobbing so hard I can’t breathe because Liam winked.

Gabbi: Finee, but like who wouldnt want liam to wink at them yk

      Louisa: whatever dude

Gabbi: Anyways, i think we should bring back the trivia, so I'm going to give you three questions to answer

Louisa: oooh okay, trying to distract me from winning this argument I...
