At the time of writing Club Secretary, Tom, has jetted off to 1553 to wear woollen hose and hope that the codflap air con is enough to beat the predicted soaring temperatures. Fortunately, he’s been at work in the kitchen distillery creating Dishwasher Vodka, a craze he assures me, that belongs to the genuinely youthful.
