Welcome back to another episode of Because I'm John Sellmeyer! Today, we are going deep underground and talking about one of the most stressful and terrifying horror movies ever made: The Descent. If you have claustrophobia, this one is going to seriously test your limits. We're breaking down the intense cave exploration, the absolute nightmare of being trapped in an unmapped cave system, those terrifying Crawlers lurking in the dark, and the brilliant psychological tension between Sarah and Juno. Whether you are a hardcore fan of creature features, survival horror, or just love Neil Marshall's directing, we are getting into all the bloody details that make this film a modern classic. Just a heads up before you hit play, there will be spoilers in this episode.
