  • Monday, October 12, 2026 — Yamamoto Leads the Dodgers-Brewers Rematch, Frank Chance Takes the Spotlight, and Check Swings Face Replay Review
    12 Oct 2026
There’s no live action and nothing final yet today, so the focus is on the two games still ahead. Milwaukee carries a little momentum into its rematch with Los Angeles after yesterday’s result: Milwaukee Brewers 2, Los Angeles Dodgers 1. Now the Dodgers hand the baseball to Yoshinobu Yamamoto, while the Brewers counter with Logan Henderson. After a one-run game, every early baserunner and every mistake should feel magnified in the follow-up. The other matchup has Cleveland visiting Tampa Bay, with Foster Griffin scheduled against Drew Rasmussen. I’m interested in Rasmussen because when a compact slate gives us only two pitching matchups, the tone set from the mound becomes even more important. There’s nowhere for either game to hide on this Monday schedule. Dodgers-Brewers brings the immediate rematch and the pressure of answering a close loss. Guardians-Rays offers a completely different pairing with Griffin and Rasmussen. Two games, four starters, and a clean stage for somebody to take over the day. Did You Know? On June 15, 2022, Houston Astros pitchers Luis Garcia and Phil Maton each threw an immaculate inning against the Texas Rangers, striking out the same three hitters—Nathaniel Lowe, Ezequiel Duran and Brad Miller—on nine pitches apiece. • Sunday, October 11, 2026 — Dodgers-Brewers Own Sunday, Monte Irvin’s Legacy Shines, and Local Blackouts Need to Go
    11 Oct 2026
There’s only one game on today’s major-league board, and honestly, it doesn’t need any company. The Los Angeles Dodgers visit the Milwaukee Brewers, with Tarik Skubal matched against Jacob Misiorowski. Nothing is underway yet, and there are no finals on the board, so every bit of today’s attention points toward Milwaukee. For me, the starting matchup is the hook. Skubal brings the established name, while Misiorowski gets a massive stage on the other side. With no competing games, every pitching decision, every scoring opportunity and every late move will carry the conversation by itself. Yesterday’s only listed final was Cleveland Guardians 2, Chicago White Sox 0. Today, though, the slate belongs entirely to Los Angeles and Milwaukee. One game, two compelling arms, and no scoreboard distractions. That’s a pretty clean setup for a Sunday in October. Did You Know? Keith McDonald recorded exactly three hits in his Major League career, all of them home runs, and homered in each of his first two big-league at-bats. • Saturday, October 10, 2026 — Burke and Williams Get the Stage, Johnny Evers Turns Two, and Pickoff Limits Stay Put
    10 Oct 2026
The board belongs entirely to Cleveland today. There are no finals and nothing is underway, so all eyes are on the scheduled matchup between the Chicago White Sox and Cleveland Guardians. Sean Burke gets the assignment for Chicago, while Gavin Williams takes the ball for Cleveland. On a one-game slate, that pitching matchup becomes the whole conversation. There’s no scoreboard noise from anywhere else and no other result competing for attention. I’m watching which starter establishes the strike zone first, keeps traffic under control and gives his club some length. When the schedule narrows to one game, every early decision feels bigger. A leadoff walk, a missed chance with runners aboard or one mistake over the plate can shape the entire afternoon. Burke and Williams have the stage to themselves, and that makes this a clean, focused baseball Saturday in Cleveland. Did You Know? On September 22, 1968, Minnesota Twins utilityman César Tovar played all nine defensive positions against the Oakland Athletics and struck out Reggie Jackson while pitching the first inning.
