The Midnight Forge Podcast Network, founded by Javier Malave and part of IronForge Syndicate, brings together conversations about faith, fandom, and the everyday challenges that shape our lives. Across three distinct podcasts, the network helps listeners grow in understanding, explore their interests, and find practical guidance.
The Compass Chronicles Podcast explores faith, Scripture, and Christian living through honest conversations rooted in biblical truth. From discipleship and spiritual growth to relationships, emotional well-being, and life's difficult questions, the show connects faith with everyday experience.
The Fandom Forge Podcast explores anime, manga, comics, gaming, movies, and collectibles through a faith-informed perspective. It celebrates the creativity and communities behind fandom while examining the stories, characters, and themes that influence how we see ourselves and the world.
The Billed & Cornered Podcast helps patients make sense of medical bills, insurance claims, denials, and the confusing world of healthcare billing. Drawing on Javier's decades of revenue cycle and medical billing experience, the show offers clear explanations and practical steps to help listeners ask informed questions and advocate for themselves.
Whether you're looking to deepen your faith, explore the worlds you love, or better understand a medical bill, there's a place for you at the Midnight Forge Podcast Network.

  • Gandalf's Secret Knowledge: How Wisdom Points to a Sovereign God
    29 Oct 2026

I would love to hear from you!

Gandalf knows the Ring is dangerous long before he finally sits Frodo down and says it out loud and that delay can feel almost cruel if you only look at it from the outside. But when we slow down, the story starts to sound less like secrecy and more like wisdom: truth has weight, and timing changes whether that weight strengthens someone or crushes them.

We dig into the hidden thread running through the opening of The Fellowship of the Ring: the long gap between suspicion and confirmation, between silence and revelation. Along the way we connect Middle-earth to everyday life, from waiting on test results to living with unanswered prayers, and we ask a blunt question: when you don’t get the full picture, do you interpret quiet as absence or as work you can’t yet see?

We also get practical about discernment and decision making. Gandalf models a rare posture: patient watchfulness. Not panic, not passivity. We talk about how ordinary days form trust, why urgency gets manufactured by the modern information environment, and how to tell the difference between wise restraint and comfortable avoidance. If you’re sitting on a hard conversation, a nagging suspicion, or a decision you can’t confirm yet, this one is for you.

  • When Trauma Meets Faith Without A Filter
    14 Oct 2026

I would love to hear from you!

Some pain does not fit into a tidy testimony, so we learn to hide it even from God. I am Javier, and this conversation sits right at the collision point of trauma and faith: the private wreckage we carry, the “cleaned up” version we present, and the nagging question underneath it all, does God actually see the real story or only the Sunday performance?

We talk about trauma as more than obvious disasters, including the slow wounds and the moments your body still braces for years later. When church culture treats composure as spirituality, prayer can start sounding like an update on how well we are coping. That is where people quietly stop bringing the real questions: Where were you, God? Why did you not stop it? Instead of labeling those questions as a failure of faith, we treat them as honesty that healing requires.

Psalm 62 gives us language that does not demand a polished narrative: “pour out your heart… God is a refuge.” We dig into what it means to bring the felt experience, not just the explained version, and why trauma healing is often slow because the nervous system needs repeated evidence of safety. The goal is not flawless vulnerability. The goal is returning, again and again, with one truer sentence.

If this resonates, listen through and try the small practice at the end. Subscribe, share this with a friend who is tired of performing, and leave a review so more people can find honest conversations about trauma and Christian faith.

  • Trust in God's Timing
    13 Oct 2026

I would love to hear from you!

Silence can feel louder than any “no.” When the job offer does not come, the relationship stays unresolved, or healing drags on past what feels reasonable, waiting stops being an inconvenience and starts feeling personal. I’m Javier, and I recorded this Compass Chronicles reflection for anyone carrying a private waiting room in their chest, checking the clock and wondering if God forgot your address.

We dig into why trusting God’s timing is so hard in a world built for instant answers, and why delay often exposes a deeper question: do I trust God’s character in the waiting? I unpack the subtle way we fill the empty space with stories like “I’m overlooked,” “I missed my window,” or “this must mean something about me,” then begin living as if those assumptions carry the same authority as God’s voice. The difference between the facts of your circumstances and the meaning you attach to them can change everything, because the label you give your season shapes how you pray, how you hope, and what you risk.

From there, we get practical. I talk about attention as a daily battleground, the doom loop of refreshing and rehearsing, and how to redirect your focus without pretending you do not care. We explore prayer that stays connected to your actual day, the role of community when waiting feels isolating, and a simple invitation: take one small, ordinary step today as a way of practicing trust without demanding proof first.

If this helped you breathe a little easier, subscribe to Compass Chronicles, share it with someone who is waiting too, and leave a review so more people can find it. What are you waiting on right now?
