What if you could try on a different version of yourself without pretending to be someone you're not?

A ridiculous argument with my eight-year-old daughter over Halloween costumes got me thinking about something much bigger: why do we give ourselves permission to behave differently when we're wearing a costume, but feel so attached to playing the same familiar roles in everyday life?

In this episode, I'm sharing stories from my years performing on cruise ships, the surprising things I've discovered about myself in the elementary school pickup line, and a concept I've been exploring called Conscious Expression.

It's the idea that authenticity doesn't have to mean showing up as the same version of yourself everywhere you go. You contain multitudes! And you can consciously choose which parts of yourself to turn up, explore, and express.

We'll explore the difference between adapting yourself to be accepted and intentionally choosing how you want to show up, why experimenting with different sides of your personality isn't being fake, and how even the smallest changes can transform your experience of the life you already have.

I don't think you need to find your one true self. Maybe there's a whole lot more of you waiting to come out and play.
