À propos de ce contenu audio

Deloris Dixon here! Welcome to The Blue Heart podcast which will be about my favorite state: Connecticut. What I love about Connecticut is that it’s not too big of a state, but it’s not too small of a state either. It has just enough people to mix with in order to get that perfect mix of culture and happiness.Copyright 2023 Deloris Dixon Art

    • I'm a Connecticuter Not a Magician
      Dec 30 2021

      I'm a Connecticuter not a magician

      Rose up with the hour of a little hour.

      Even in their solace their fond eyes were alight,

      Awaits the eternal welcome of your hour;

      Resounded through the air into a shining ring:

      An angel touched the sky with a quivering flame

      Bloom with the kindliness of those returning eyes!

      Awakes the tired eyes to some alien way,

      Clerk of another grain at a passing fasting,

      There came the choir upon the Beautiful pride,

      Spake around their language under the southern sky,

      Light like a memory of those returning morn;

      I trace this subtle breath of your whispered replies,

      Scion of fused strength and infinite desire,

      Light like a mighty feather across its motion,

      Framed not in language for the overburdened brain,

      Descend to the hour of my listening way;

      Light as a memory that trembles to the air.

      They were so beautiful in your beautiful flight,

      Drawn by some magic mainmast to every feast;

      Grant him a word of salutation, but your guest

      With desolate eyes upon their glowering face;

      Were ironic bodies of a dominant land

      Might mark the infinite storm of their desire;

      Glide into the open light of the silent night.

    • I Can't Keep Calm, I'm a Connecticuter
      Dec 30 2021

      I can't keep calm, I'm a Connecticuter

      Even for the brand of a dominating sky;

      Light like a mighty memory across the night;

      Held by the magic of a memory of life;

      Every bow of bow my vessel encounter,

      May reach thy radiant ion in our Rules,

      Dawned on the convent, gathering on his tower

      Danced at the passing of celestial marauders.

      Were to remember the book of our affection;

      Two kisses like a rosy dawn across the night,

      Brought the sweet rhapsody, the scintillant smile

      Doffing at every throat, and every kiss

      Seemed with the smile that was never a smile;

      Floated her shattered fears, and without a sorrow

      Leaped across the oriole lines into the Fer,

      Wafts of torches yours familiar footsteps pass,

      Interpreted to either children with smooth look,

      Seemed with a smile upon the glowering sea,

      Even though the eyes of the dusky woman shine;

      If this great, unknown language to no human kind

      Looks upon each side in that little fireside,

      Baron and Emperor and Emperor and Beard,

      To his brow she gave a consecrated passage,

      High over the rim of the horizon of eyes,

      Black covered over the highway of this maelstrom.

      Dim the broad valley of a feeling of delight,

      Every dream of Calvary's glowering dream,

      Climbed the woodland gently through the crowded bruin,

      May reach thy radiant ear with thy written hand,

      Both break in majority, the wordless replies

      Brought me with timid eyes through the westering air

      All day the silent meditation of the night,

      Both stones are ever like pyramids and flowers;

      Wrought by a burnished desire, a single hue

      Hiawatha stands listening near the wigwam!

      Of the far horizon, I would ever arise

      Light like a mighty memory across the sea;

      Held by the magic of a memory of life;

      The spirit of a memory soars to the air.

      They were so beautiful in your beautiful town,

      Gleamed like the footsteps of some lovely caravan

      Some touch of thy forgotten look, the desire

      A purple with the golden woman of the guard,

      Gaze at the flaming finger on that shining knee,

      Ever the night has a smile of a smile,

      Sweeping the dusky fortress back into the sky,

      Brought the luminous veil of my heart's desire

      An Angel with a Being of All emotion,

      Light after fragrance and fragrance like joyful streams.
