Summary

The Adult Gymnastics Podcast is the home of the adult gymnastics movement.

You'll hear extraordinary stories from ordinary people around the world who dared to start (or return to) gymnastics as adults.

From overcoming fear, injury, pregnancy, and self-doubt to rebuilding confidence, finding lifelong friendships, and discovering a stronger body and mind, these conversations prove that it's never too late to become who YOU were meant to be.

Along the way, we'll talk with adult gymnasts like you, coaches, elite athletes, sports psychologists, gymnastics innovators, and the companies helping adults train smarter and stay healthy for life.

Whether you're chasing your first cartwheel, getting your giant back, or finding a community that believes in you, this podcast will inspire you to dream bigger, move fearlessly, and rediscover what's possible.

Because gymnastics isn't just something you do: it's a way to transform your life!

  • Ep. 26: Andrea: 53 year old gymnast & acro maven!
    29 Oct 2026

Andrea was a true trailblazer in Canada for the adult gymnastics movement. She came back to the sport after having 2 kids and begged every gym to let her train with their teens!

Now, at age 53, she runs her own company, which hosts adult acro/gymnastics classes in gyms, and even has an "AcroGarden" in her backyard!

The yard space includes some very unusual, one-of-a-kind equipment, including enormous extra-wide rebound surfaces, exceptionally soft and bouncy training surfaces, and custom-built tumbling equipment. The extra width and space create more room for error and let adults work skills with less impact and much more forgiveness than they would on a conventional floor or narrow tumbling surface.

Learn all about Andrea's gymnastics, tumbling, acro for dance, and fitness classes at >> https://www.instagram.com/acrofit.mtl/
