In this meeting of That Damned Book Club we get into "Hidden Pictures" by Jason Rekulak. A down on her luck woman tries her best to break back into society by getting a nannying job that doesn't exactly go as planned. There's twists, turns, possible murder, Cheesecake Factory, actual murder, ouija boards, and lots and lots of pictures. Can Mallory unravel the mystery in which she's found herself entangled before it's too late? Let's see!

At the next meeting we'll be discussing "Black Sheep" by Rachel Harrison. Go find a copy.

In this meeting of That Damned Book Club we discuss "Tender Is the Flesh" by Agustina Bazterrica. What would happen if meat was no longer an option? It's all gone. Almost all animals are nothing but a distant memory. What would happen in our modern, civilized society? Cannibalism of course! Bazterrica's superbly crafted novel delves deep into this near-future dystopia in order to hold a mirror to our present selves, and we're all better (and a little nauseous) because of it. Come join us!

At the next meeting we'll be discussing "Hidden Pictures" by Jason Rekulak. Pick up a copy.
