Techno1000 is Jürgen Laarmanns Podcast straight from Berlin Mitte. In the late 80ies and early 90ies he was co-founder of Frontpage magazine, Germany´s first magazine for electronic music. He was member of the Love Parade team and co-founder of the event Mayday - "the mother of all raves".In the 90ies he developped a theory called "The Raving Society": his idea was that the values of the dance scene like love, peace, unity, togetherness, the freedom of expression and speech should have an impact of the civil society. Now 30 y after the techno movement started he talkes again to the pioneers of the Frontpage age, the key players of the techno movement, the DJs and the artists who moved a whole generation and the main persons behind the scenes. Brilliant entertainment for those who want to know more about techno - the movement and the music!

The Godfather of Electronic MusicElectronic music pioneer Jean-Michel Jarre sat down with Techno 1000s Jürgen Laarmann for what could have easily been a good but normal new album promoting interview. Turns out, JMJ doesn’t really do normal. In an engaging, utterly interesting talk, he leaves no boxes unchecked from techno’s history to the here and now of electronic music. Turns out he once thought that Kraftwerk’s Autobahn was a from a Californian band sing in German. When he takes us from his families past, to tomorrows digital worries, with humbling tale linking his mothers role in the French Resistance to the sacrifice of Edward Snowden. You’ll hear anecdotes involving Fellini, Cousteau and Stephen Hawking that couldn’t that not even remotely feel like name dropping. Conversation gold from a true icon. Monsieur Jarre on the Love Parade, his Mega-Gigs, his cineast passion, the pitfalls of modern politics and yes, even football. Enjoy!

The comeback of the raving societyTechno1000 is the international version of the Jürgen Laarmanns German podcast "1000 Tage Techno".In  Trailer No. 1 the former editor of Frontpage magazine, promoter of Love Parade in the early years and co-founder of Mayday introduces his podcast project and explains what he will talk about with his interview partners.  But techno1000 is far more than just talks and interviews with the key players of the international techno history. JL thesis: If the capitalist system breaks down the only hope of the civil world lie in the hand of those who share the values of the dance scene: Love; Peace, Respect, Freedom of Speech and creative self-release, the absence of racism and sexism - if anybody would behave like at the best moments of Love Parade, we would have a better world.....
