Talks with the Soul is a podcast for the part of you that knows.

This isn't for the part of you that performs, explains, and desperately holds everything together. Its for what's waiting underneath all of that. For the one that was here before you learned who to be.

Every episode opens the same way, with a single line and a breath: this is a sacred space...not a safe space. What follows is not a lecture and not a lesson. It is one voice speaking to one listener, tracing the questions we are usually too busy to ask. Who am I? Why am I afraid? How did I get here? What remains when the noise finally stops?

Along the way, the voices that spoke the same truth across the ages keep us company. Christian mystics, Zen teachers, Sufi poets, the sages of the Upanishads and more. They are not here as authorities. They are here as witnesses, confirming something you already carry.

This is not a path toward becoming someone new. It is simply a way back home, to the one you have always been.

Come as you are. There is nothing here to fix.

From my soul to yours.

  • The Lies We Tell
    23 Sep 2026

Most of us have built ourselves a safe space: a character we play, a story we tell about who we are. We don't just wear it. We live in it.

In this episode, I explain what I mean when I say this is a sacred space, not a safe space. I share the lie that ran most of my life. If you're not enough, they'll leave, and the anxiety that kept the performance running. We look at the scenes we cut from our own stories, what that costs us, and how, one reasonable step at a time, a lie we practice long enough becomes the truth.

Along the way: the Greek word behind "hypocrite," which originally meant a stage actor speaking from behind a mask. And what I found when my own mask finally started coming off.

This one is heavy. If something in you tightens while you listen, that isn't a sign something's wrong. It may be the real you, reminding you it's still there.

  • I'm Afraid to Die
    9 Sep 2026

There is something I have never said aloud to anyone. I'm afraid to die.

This is where I turn and face that fear, through my father and the tender question he asked at the edge of his life. This is a sacred space...not a safe space. Come sit with the fear, and we will look together at what remains.

  • The Silence that Called Me
    31 Aug 2026

I was around eight years old when a question arrived that no one could answer. How did I get in this body? There was a "me," and there was this body, and the two were not the same. This first episode returns to that question, and begins a journey to search for answers.
