In this final message from the ROOTED series, we bring our journey to a close by thinking about what it means to be ROOTED FOR FRUITFULNESS.
Over these past few months, we've been exploring what it means to build our lives on Jesus Christ. Being rooted in Jesus isn't just about standing firm. It's about allowing His life to shape who we are and the way we live.
In John 15, Jesus describes Himself as the true vine and reminds us that we cannot bear fruit unless we remain in Him. And in Galatians 5, Paul describes the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. These aren't qualities we can just manufacture through willpower. They grow as we remain connected to Jesus and allow the Holy Spirit to transform us from the inside out.
So this week we ask: What is actually growing in our lives?
Because being rooted in Christ isn't about how busy we are, how much we know or how impressive we appear to others. It's about becoming more like Jesus, allowing His character to be seen in the way we love, forgive, serve and treat the people around us. And as individuals and as a church, our calling is to become a community where the life of Jesus is increasingly visible to the world.
As we bring the ROOTED series to a close, the invitation is simple: remain in Jesus, allow His Spirit to keep working in you, and trust Him to produce fruit in your life. Our roots are in Christ. Our growth depends on Him. And the fruit is for His glory and the good of those around us.
📖 Key Text: John 15:1–8; Galatians 5:16–26 🌱 Theme: Remaining in Christ and allowing the Holy Spirit to produce lasting fruit in our lives 🎧 Takeaway: When we are rooted in Christ, His life begins to shape ours.
