This week Joel McKerrow, Matthew Grayden and Adalia Ananthan sit down with Autalaga (Laga) Tuialii, a first generation Australian of Samoan descent and alumna of Tearfund's Just Leadership Cohort. Laga is a founding member of the Saltwater Alliance's Culture Keepers project and co-founder of Pacific Youth Voice Australia, interviewed by Melody Murton.Laga shares what she learned researching the mental health impacts of climate change in Fijian villages, the tension between Pacifica and Western worldviews, and why she believes hope needs both cultural connection and biblical grounding. She unpacks the difference between climate anxiety and climate courage, and why grassroots, everyday action, from life groups to clothes swaps, is where real change begins.Next week: the discipline of silence with Pastor Graeme Anderson. This episode was recorded on the land of the Wurundjeri people. We pay our respects to their elders past and present.Tearfund Australia is a movement of Christians working in partnership to end poverty and tackle injustice.
