Spider-Man: Brand New Day took the world by storm. Join me as I discuss Peter Parker’s identity crisis and what made this movie so great.

The movie featured Marvel heroes like The Punisher, Hulk, and Yelena, while also introducing Jean Grey in her first MCU debut.

I thought Spider-Man: Brand New Day was a great movie. Jean tricking Peter with MJ’s body made my heart drop. Peter’s story felt like a reverse Spider-Man 2, but instead of losing his powers, he becomes stronger.

Outside of Spider-Man, The Punisher was one of my favorite parts. He wasn’t as dark or bloody as the Netflix shows, or even Daredevil: Born Again, but he still stayed true to the character.

My only gripe is that they made Jean Grey too villainous. She does have a dark side, but I’m supposed to believe she can also be a hero. For the first introduction to one of your new X-Men actors before the reboot, I didn’t get a great first impression. If anything it made me hate her. One thing I can say is that Sadie Sink’s acting was good.

I was also really hoping for an actual Spider-Man villain. There were a lot of great moments, but one that immediately comes to mind is Spider-Man saving people from the giant tank and fighting off his villains during the opening montage. Even toward the end, when he gets shot, the city rallies behind him.

What makes my reviews stand out is that I always have something special at the end, whether it’s fun facts or something completely fresh. So tune in and give it a shot!
