  • M&A tech due diligence | How does Silk Route of Systems do it all? | Prachurya Bharadwaj speaks
    13 Aug 2026

In semiconductor equipment, aerospace, automotive and advanced manufacturing, the real value of an acquisition often sits beneath revenue, EBITDA and order books. It exists in engineering judgement, production capability, supplier networks, customer qualifications, tooling, process knowledge and the people who know how the industrial system really works.

This episode of Silk Route of Systems goes behind the scenes of industrial M&A and examines what investors need to understand around an acquisition.

We begin with technical due diligence.

If a seller projects growth from €400 million to €650 million, the question is not simply whether demand exists. Can the company physically build that volume? Which processes become bottlenecks? Which suppliers need new tooling or qualification? Where does engineering capacity become constrained?

These questions can influence valuation, deal structure, capital requirements and the credibility of the investment thesis before closing.

The video explores capacity validation, engineering-change propagation, supplier dependency mapping, quality analysis, knowledge concentration and one industrial metric that receives too little attention: decision latency.

A company can have excellent engineers and still lose enormous amounts of time because functions are waiting for one another. Engineering waits for priorities. Procurement waits for frozen specifications. Manufacturing waits for engineering decisions.

The factory is moving, but the organisation is waiting for itself.

That is why SROS places governance at the centre of industrial value creation.

After an acquisition, the executive committee appointed by the investors should not have to govern through disconnected departmental reports and retrospective KPIs. It needs end-to-end visibility, with risks visible early enough that leadership can still change the outcome.

Which engineering changes threaten delivery? Which suppliers constrain future machines? Which quality issues are holding revenue? Which decisions must be made today to protect the next quarter?

This is where the Enterprise Digital Twin becomes important.

SROS does not sell a predetermined ERP, PLM, MES, planning system or analytics package. The architecture comes first.

SROS can help design an Enterprise Digital Twin connecting Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Programme Management and Finance into one coherent view for executive governance. An engineering change should not remain only an engineering event. Its consequences for procurement, production, delivery, revenue and cash should become visible across the enterprise.

When an acquired company becomes part of a larger industrial group, the Digital Twin can extend beyond one entity, revealing shared suppliers, complementary capabilities, capacity opportunities and industrial synergies that financial integration may never expose.

The role of Silk Route of Systems can begin before acquisition and continue throughout the transformation journey:

Technical Due Diligence → Acquisition Architecture → Governance → Enterprise Digital Twin → Transformation → Scale

The goal is to help investors understand what they are truly buying, bring industrial risks forward before they become losses, and give the leadership they appoint the visibility and governance required to build the company envisioned in the investment thesis.

That is the territory of Silk Route of Systems.
