A beginner-friendly hangout into the world of Dungeons & Dragons. We start from zero — what Brooke and Melissa already know about D&D — then walk through the basics: roleplay, dice, maps, theater of the mind, and how turns work. From there we dig into character concepts and inspirations before tackling the character sheet: core stats, hit points, armor class, and what those ability scores actually mean. We cover how attributes are chosen and which skills matter most, then jump into D&D Beyond to build our characters live — classes, skills, weapons, cantrips, subclasses, species — before finalizing the sheets, embracing a few weaknesses, and wrapping character creation. If you've ever wanted to try D&D but felt intimidated, this one's for you.
