À propos de ce contenu audio

Kev and Randy take to the mics once a week to talk about a song from the catalogue of the enigmatic, brilliant, and sometimes flawed rock legends Queen. Each week a song will be chosen at random so that the boys won't know what track they'll be reviewing. Kev comes into the podcast as a Queen afficionado, while Randy is a more casual fan, but has a huge wealth of knowledge about recording, performing, and music in general. At the end of each episode, both will either upvote or downvote the song and we'll take to social media to see what the listeners think!

NOTE: This episode has been reuploaded to correct an editing mistake by so-called Captain International!

It's the last B-side episode in our hattrick of pre-recorded shows while old R-Boat is over in Z-Boat! There were some technical difficulties during recording but hey, we're truly international, so we.... kinda sorted em out! Look, we don't have Off Menu money or whatever that one is with Will Arnett, Jason Bateman, and Sean Hayes money. We're just two lowly podcasters tryna' go intergalactic. We're indie and proud. Fuck Thatcher.

This week's episode covers arguably the weakest song from Queen's 70s output, "Mad the Swine". A song that 100%, definitely, categorically, absolutely DOES NOT belong between Ogre Battle and My Fairy King, no matter what Roger or Bri say about it!

If Kev were to title this podcast, he’d probably call it “Mad the Swine”, or possibly, “This little piggy should have gone wee wee wee, straight down the shitter!”

NOTE: Skip forward to 13:02 if wanna get straight into the manifestations and wheel spin.

The music at the end of the episode is the very excellent "Darling of the CBC" from Absofunkinlutely's black album, Residential Gas Leak. When checking for residential gas leaks, it's best to call out a qualified plumber. When checking for groove-laden jams about the state of the music industry, it's best to call out a qualified Cardinal! You can do so, right here: https://youtu.be/3drh6SgxYWE

Holy smokes and saints alive I never thought this would happen to me! What's that you ask? Oh, not much... I just happen to be lucky enough to co-host a podcast with the most international dude in the entire Northern hemisphere. Mr. "Jetset" Randy Woods himself is over in the cradle of humanity sharing his vast, VAST knowledge of sound, noises, ambience, acoustics, and such with a very wide array of wide-eyed (and almost certainly completely starstruck) Zambians. When he gets back, who knows if he'll carry on debasing himself by talking to me. We can only speculate.

This week's episode covers a Freddie solo track that was reworked for the Queen Forever compilation, released in 2014. It's the much rearranged "Love Kills" (Ballad)

If Kev were to title this podcast, he’d probably call it “Love Kills”, or possibly “So does Malaria.”

NOTE: Skip forward to 6:19 if wanna get straight into the manifestations and wheel spin.

The music at the end of the episode is the sensational "Bode's Galaxy" from Absofunkinlutely's red album, Blues Kid City. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, and you really ought to as the fate of the free universe hangs in the balance, is to go listen to it immediately on the mysterious tubes of Y00! https://youtu.be/lB7iaAnZOZc
