The invite-only gay dating and lifestyle app Goose faced major criticism and a Wired investigation alleging it used fake, AI-generated male influencer profiles on Instagram to recruit users. The app also drew backlash over exclusivity standards, privacy concerns in its terms, and co-founder Derek Chadwick stepping down shortly after launch.

Do you ever feel like you wasted your life?

I'm 40 and just looking for advice based on others' experiences.

If you came out later in life, does it ever feel like you wasted your life being closeted?

I just came out(mostly to myself) so I'm still on the "gay high". I look back and think of all the things I missed out because of being closeted and worrying about offending others who didn't give a damn about me. All the young loves, the cute guys, the hot sex, if I would be in a LTR by now, etc.

What is your experience and how do you cope with it?
