In this episode of Sam Takes on the World, Sam tackles the struggle against sin—why sin is part of the human condition, how it separates us from God, and what Jesus did to restore that relationship.

Drawing from Scripture, Sam talks about repentance, temptation, self-control, accountability, fleeing from situations that lead us into sin, and the hope we have through Jesus Christ. Using the picture of walking through the darkness with a headlamp, he explores how God’s Word helps us see where we’re going and avoid stumbling.

Sin may be a lifelong battle, but through Jesus, we don’t have to fight it without hope. The journey begins with repentance, faith, and surrendering our lives to Christ.

On this episode of Sam Takes on the World, Sam dives more directly into the world of AI. After a brief synopsis of what it is currently, Sam discusses some uses and pitfalls. As believers, we are taught to not be unwise, Sam encourages us to see the benefits, but weigh them carefully and consider avoiding AI if it’s not useful or serves no purpose.

Scriptures I’ve been reading about waiting on the Lord:

Verses About Waiting on the Lord

Isaiah 40:31

"But those who wait upon the LORD will renew their strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint".

Psalm 27:14

"Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the LORD!".

Psalm 37:7

"Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes".

Psalm 130:5-6

"I wait for the LORD, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope. I wait for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning".

Isaiah 30:18

"Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion. For the LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!".

Lamentations 3:25-26

"The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord".

Micah 7:7

"But as for me, I watch in hope for the LORD, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me".

Isaiah 64:4

"Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for him".

Hosea 12:6

"But you must return to your God; maintain love and justice, and wait for your God always".

Proverbs 20:22

"Do not say, 'I will repay evil'; wait for the Lord, and he will deliver you".

Waiting on the Lord is hard—especially in a culture that expects everything right now. In this episode, Sam talks about patience, trusting God’s timing, and resisting the temptation to take matters into our own hands. Drawing from Isaiah 40:31, Proverbs, Acts, and personal experiences, he explores what it really means to wait faithfully while continuing to follow where God leads.

Sometimes God says “go,” and sometimes He says “wait.” The challenge is learning the difference—and trusting Him either way.
