À propos de ce contenu audio

Society is rising. Changing. Moving. Join us as we navigate the insanity, cast aside the crap, and maintain a firm grasp on reality. The world is ablaze. Fire can refine or destroy. Sometimes both are part of the process of creating something beautiful. Ideas are the fire; our tools and weapons. Wield them wisely. Command them carefully. Walk courageously as a lion, be cunning as a snake, fierce as a wolf, and tender as a lamb.Rising Society Sciences sociales

    • Episode 41: Thoughts on the New Pope, Catholic Social Teaching (Socialism & Family), & Pope Leo XIII
      May 29 2025

Nico and Shane are joined by Shannon Braswell to share their opinions about the newly enthroned Robert Provost (Pope Leo XIV).

The New Pope stated that he was inspired to take the name Leo after Pope Leo XIII (reigned from 1878 to 1903), the founder of Catholic Social Teaching. The guys look at Pope Leo XIII's encyclical Rerum Novarum, that established Catholic Social Teaching. The encyclical articulates a stance on Economics (the responsibilities between the working classes, managerial classes, wealthy, and the state) along with the Church's stance on the role of Women, and the dignity of the Family Unit.

In a brief conversation, the guys hash this out.
