    • Repair Café Glasgow - Combatting Throwaway Culture Through Repair
      Jan 28 2023

Learn all about the Repair Café International movement, what

the repair café is all about and how they go about saving the world (one

      toaster at a time).

This episode includes an interview with one of Repair Café Glasgow’s directors,

Paula Pyke, who has extensive experience in running community organisations and

has a strong background in environmental thinking, having previously held the

role of Head of Environmental Strategy for the Scottish Environment Protection

      Agency (SEPA).

In this episode Paula gives you an idea of what the repair café has to offer

and what is in store for the future of the Glasgow Repair Café. We also hear from those who have benefitted directly from the repair café, whether that be as a user of its services or as a volunteer.

University Concert Band. You can find details of their upcoming gigs at:

I would personally like to send a massive thank you to the committee of the

Strathclyde University Concert band for their support, it is very much

      appreciated!

I would also like to send a thousand thanks to Paula Pyke for her support and

encouragement throughout this project, I couldn’t have done it without her!

This episode wouldn’t have been possible without the generous loan of recording equipment from Strathclyde’s Student Union through the alumni fund. It also wouldn't have been possible without for the loan of microphones from fellow Repair Café Glasgow volunteer and director at The Magic Studio, Ivan Formosa. So I can't thank both Strath Union and Ivan enough!

Finally I would like to thank all those who participated in interviews at

recent Glasgow Repair Café events, I couldn’t have made this episode without

      you all!
