  • NASA chief says all UAP data released; Coulthart says no | Reality Check
    11 Oct 2026

Ross Coulthart and Meagan Medick open with a “Reality Check” exclusive: NewsNation’s Nancy Loo sat down with NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman, who said the agency has already released all of its UAP data. Coulthart says that isn’t the case and he walks through the Apollo, Gemini and Skylab records he says are still unreleased.

In this week’s episode, Coulthart tackles questions about the Apollo 17 “blue dots” film still under Pentagon and NASA review, the Defense Intelligence Agency’s announcement that it has found missing files and Jake Barber’s new claim that a cylindrical “mothership” releases egg-shaped craft, which Coulthart compares to historic sightings over Tehran in 1976. He also examines whether artificial intelligence is the key to understanding the UAP phenomenon, from Dr. Beatrice Villarroel’s geostationary-orbit research to the possibility of an autonomous monitoring system watching Earth.

  • Mapping the Palomar transient hotspots | Reality Check
    6 Oct 2026

In this episode of "Reality Check," Ross Coulthart sits down with astrophysicist Dr. Beatriz Villarroel, founder of the VASCO project at Nordita in Stockholm, and Vanderbilt's Dr. Stephen Bruehl, whose new paper suggests something in near-Earth space was flashing sunlight onto the photographic plates at Palomar Observatory years before Sputnik ever reached orbit. Projected back down to the ground, those flashes don't scatter at random. They cluster over some very familiar places, including the Pacific off Southern Mexico near where the Nimitz Tic-Tac encounter took place in 2004, the southern Gulf of Mexico off Tampico and the American Southwest around Sedona and White Sands Missile Range.

The nuclear connection gets even stranger. On the night before Castle Yankee, the 13.5-megaton hydrogen bomb detonated at Bikini Atoll in May 1954, 203 high-probability transients appeared over the Pacific, while the transients tied to Nevada tests fell over Arizona and New Mexico instead.

Coulthart plays the debunker for much of the hour, pressing the pair on plate defects, cosmic rays, radioactive fallout, survey bias and whether enough statistical tests will always turn up a hit. They also discuss independent work by former Hubble scientist Ivo Busko, whose plates from a German observatory show the same spike in transients on April 4, 1956, that appears in the Palomar data. By the end, Villarroel says she believes they're looking at some kind of surveillance system, Bruehl puts the odds of nonhuman monitoring at better than 50% and both confirm the three-letter agencies have taken notice.

Ross Coulthart explores mysterious untold stories using a fact-based approach to address various topics, from unidentified aerial phenomena to other mysteries that often go unreported. Now, he is turning to viewers, answering their pressing questions each week.

In this week's episode, Coulthart tackles questions about whether UAP disclosure is "screwed" if Republicans lose the House in the midterms, the ongoing mystery of General Neil McCasland's disappearance and UAP incursions over nuclear sites in India, including an extraordinary sighting of a robotic humanoid in the Himalayas. Coulthart also breaks down the biggest takeaways from David Grusch's interview with Joe Rogan, including claims the Navy tracks a nonhuman base on the ocean floor "the size of multiple city blocks."
