What does Mark 16:15–18 mean when Jesus tells His followers to preach the gospel and speaks of signs accompanying believers?
In this teaching, Mike Massa explores Mark’s account of the Great Commission alongside Matthew 28. He reflects on preaching as an authoritative message entrusted by God, the importance of speaking and praying Scripture, and what it means to live as a citizen of God’s Kingdom.
Mike also offers his perspective on the passage’s difficult references to casting out demons, speaking in new tongues, serpents, poison, and healing. He cautions against treating the serpent passage as an endorsement of snake handling and acknowledges that some of these verses are challenging to interpret.
