It’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and PLOT TWIST: STILL ALIVE is kicking off Season 2 by going beyond the pink shit and talking about what people should ACTUALLY be aware of.

At just 37, Marissa was a wife and mom of two kids under five when stomach issues and blood in her stool led to a diagnosis she never saw coming:

COLON CANCER.

Unfortunately... that was just the opening scene.

Genetic testing revealed links to multiple hereditary cancers—including BRCA—and suddenly family secrets nobody even knew existed started looking a whole lot more sinister.

And the further she went down the genetic rabbit hole, the scarier life became.

Before ever hearing the words YOU HAVE BREAST CANCER, Marissa faced an impossible choice: amputate her breasts before they became the next sacrifice.

Turns out, her DNA came with its own fucking horror franchise.
