Girl Scouts has been part of many childhoods, including mine! But, what's Girl Scouts like in 2026?

In this episode of The Perrysburg Podcast, I talk with Erika Jackson (a Recruitment Specialist with Girl Scouts of Western Ohio) about what Girl Scouts is like in 2026 and how families in Perrysburg can get involved.

We talk about who Girl Scouts is for (kindergarten through 12th grade), how troops are structured, what meetings look like, and how the girl-led model helps girls build confidence, leadership skills, and strong community connections. We also talk about volunteering, becoming a troop leader, camping opportunities, and how Girl Scouts continues to stay visible and active here in Perrysburg.

And yes! It's cookie season. A surprise guest from a local troop stops by to read this year's cookie lineup, share pricing, and talk about how she'll be selling cookies this season.
