    The Born Again Experience

The Overcomers Mind Podcast | Apostle Dr. Isaac Frimpong

What does it mean to be born again—and how does this spiritual birth change your life?

In this episode, Apostle Dr. Isaac Frimpong explores Jesus’ conversation with Nicodemus in John 3, explaining why the new birth goes beyond religious knowledge, titles, traditions, or feelings. He presents being born again as a spiritual reality: believing in Jesus Christ and experiencing the creative, life-giving work of the Holy Spirit.

The message connects Jesus’ teaching on water and the Spirit with God’s promise of a new heart. It also explores the cleansing work of God’s Word, the believer’s identity in Christ, and the responsibility to respond to God’s gift of salvation.

    In this episode:

    • Understanding the new birth: Why Jesus told Nicodemus that he must be born again.
    • Born of the Spirit: The distinction between physical birth and spiritual transformation.
    • A new heart and a new life: How the Holy Spirit enables believers to walk in God’s ways.
    • Washed by the Word: The preacher’s explanation of water as a picture of God’s cleansing Word.
    • God’s gift, our response: Receiving Christ and taking responsibility for how we respond to His message.
    • Living out your identity: Growing in divine assurance, fellowship, obedience, and the nature of Christ.

    Scriptures explored: John 3; Ezekiel 36:24–27; John 1:29–33; Ephesians 5:26–27; 1 John 5; Acts 19.

A question to reflect on: How is your faith in Christ shaping your choices, relationships, and commitment to spiritual growth?

Listen with an open heart, reflect on your identity in Christ, and share this episode with someone seeking to understand the born again experience.

    Episode Notes —

    The Purpose of Our Salvation

In this powerful episode of The Overcomers Mind Podcast, Apostle Dr. Isaac Frimpong explores a fundamental question every believer must answer: Why are we saved?

Salvation is more than freedom from sin, bondage, and darkness. Using Israel’s deliverance from Egypt as an example, Apostle Isaac explains how freedom without an understanding of purpose can leave a believer spiritually stagnant. The message shifts the focus from simply saying “I am saved and free” to understanding that we are saved to become—to become sons and daughters of God, grow into His likeness, represent Him on earth, and advance His Kingdom.

Drawing from John 1:12–13, the teaching emphasizes that those who receive Christ are given the power “to become the sons of God.” Salvation therefore involves regeneration—a new spiritual birth that establishes a new identity and relationship with God.

The episode also challenges believers to move beyond spiritual infancy. 1 Peter 2:2 teaches that newborn believers must desire the Word so they can grow. Spiritual maturity brings responsibility, and understanding our identity as God’s children changes how we approach prayer, service, resources, relationships, and our assignment in the world.

Through Romans 8:14–17, Apostle Isaac develops the theme of sonship, explaining that believers have received the Spirit of adoption, can call God “Abba, Father,” and are heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ. Ephesians 1 further reveals that believers were chosen in Christ to live holy lives and be adopted into God’s family.

The message ultimately presents salvation as both identity and assignment. We have been saved to become like Christ, mature as God’s children, advance His Kingdom, represent His will, and confront the works of darkness. Instead of asking only, “What has God saved me from?”, believers are challenged to ask:

“What has God saved me for, and what am I becoming because I am saved?”

Key Scriptures: John 1:12–13; 1 Peter 2:2; Romans 8:14–17; Ephesians 1:1–6; Acts 15:16; Galatians 4; and the teaching of Jesus concerning God as “Our Father.”

    Key takeaway:

We are not merely saved to be free; we are saved to become—sons of God who reflect His nature and advance His Kingdom on earth.
