    • Jessica Correnti - "Supporting Surviving Siblings after TFMR"
      Aug 25 2025

When you’re going through your own TFMR grief while trying to protect and support your living children, it can feel impossible to know what's "right." How much do you share? What's too much? What if you say the wrong thing?

Jessica Correnti, Certified Child Life Specialist, author and fellow baby loss mom, joins us to talk through the tender territory of supporting surviving siblings after TFMR. If you've been walking on eggshells around your kids, wondering how to honor their baby sibling while protecting their innocence, this conversation will give you both permission and practical tools.

      In this episode, we explore:

      • The surprising ways children process grief (hint: it might look nothing like adult grief)

      • Why kids need repetition and play to work through loss

      • Age-appropriate ways to talk about the baby who died without overwhelming young minds

      • One gentle first step overwhelmed parents can take today to support their child's grief journey

      • What TFMR parents need to hear most when supporting living children through this loss

Jessica's wisdom will help you trust your instincts while giving your surviving children the space and support they need to process this profound loss in their own way.

    • Examination of repro care in the U.S.: Rebecca Little and Colleen Long talk about their book "I'm Sorry For My Loss"
      Jul 31 2025

Rebecca Little and Colleen Long join us to discuss their powerful book "I'm Sorry for My Loss: An Urgent Examination of Reproductive Care in America." Rebecca and Colleen are two lifelong friends and both journalists who've experienced devastating pregnancy losses. This book is an investigation into why reproductive care in America is so broken; their findings are both heartbreaking and essential.

Rebecca experienced six pregnancies: 2 uneventful pregnancies of her oldest living kids followed by chemical pregnancy, missed miscarriage at 8 weeks, stillbirth in 2014 and TFMR of twins at 23 weeks for a fatal heart condition, followed by a life-threatening uterine rupture that nearly killed her. Colleen lost her first baby to stillbirth in 2012 and has two living kids. Together, they've created the book they wish they'd had: one that doesn't just offer comfort, but also asks the hard questions:

Why are we so bad at grief?

Why is our language so limited?

Why aren't we even researching women's reproductive health?

This conversation goes deep into the impossible navigation of TFMR grief when neither "pro-choice" nor "pro-life" language fits your experience. We explore how “the myth of control over pregnancy” leaves families isolated when things go wrong, and why having language that fits your loss can be life-changing.
