Despite its moderate chart success in the US, the song was featured in movies, TV shows, and it even earned her a Grammy. Duffy’s momentum continued into her second album, and just when she seemed poised to NEVER be discussed on a podcast about one hit wonders, her career suddenly hit the brakes. Years later, she shared the harrowing story behind the reason for this, and a forthcoming documentary will shed even more light on her tragic story.
