Mackey Louthan never misses a chance to shoot his bow. This past weekend he and his family attended the NFAA Southern Indoor Sectionals at Arrowhead Archery in Del City, The USA Archery Indoor State Championship at H&H Archery in Oklahoma City and the Paris ASA Southwest Shootout all the way down in Paris Texas. Congratulation to Mackey on his big win and thank you for always taking the kids out to shoot some big tournaments. The Louthans have attended the Frozen Okie, Rushmore Rumble and will hit all 6 of the Pro/Ams at the ASA this season. We sat down with Mackey to talk about how to get the youth archers interested in competition and keep them motivated to keep competing across the country!

Quinn Rogers is your Champion from this past weekend's Frozen Okie., a USA Archery tournament held in Oklahoma at Archery Traditions in Yukon, OK. This was Quinn's first USA Archery tournament and we came out swinging, breaking both the single day scoring record as well as the combined scoring record for the Adult Male Open (Senior) division. Nathan McMurtry is an 18 year old phenom! Known locally as "the Baby-faced Killer" he has been competing at a high level for the past several seasons in the adult class. We invited Nathan to sit down with us and discuss his recent win at the 3rd Annual Gobbler Classic hosted at Okie-Land Bowhunters over the Thanksgiving Weekend. The tournament is a 5 spot Vegas face 600 round and the competition is STIFF! Nathan was able to come away with a 598/600 and 49x count for a first place finish. The Iowa State Archery Association is hosting the 32nd ISAA Pro/Am this December 19-21. Located in central Iowa at the EMC Expo Center. Come get dialed in and shoot a 5 spot and Vegas round in this combined format and be ready for indoor season. This event is NFAA classes and has 3K guaranteed money for the Pro Division as well as $1,500 for the Sr. Pro and Women's Pro divisions. There is a Pro shop within 15 minutes and the event will have bow presses on site for any mechanical issues.
