À propos de ce contenu audio

Welcome to The Naked Podcast.

Where one powerful question guides every conversation:

“Is there a time in your life when everything changed?”

Here, you’ll hear the honest, unedited stories of people from around the world—moments of loss, love, breakthrough, and becoming. Stories that remind us we’re never as alone as we think.

Along the way, I share Naked Notes—personal pieces I’ve written about life, love, and the messy middle. And every fifth episode, my husband Gregg joins me as we revisit the times when everything shifted in our own marriage—the hard seasons, the healing, and the hope that came from it.

As Brené Brown says: “Vulnerability is not weakness, it’s our most accurate measure of courage.”

This is our space to practice courage, connection, and the kind of truth-telling that changes us all.

    • Ep 60 - Elli’s Story: Learning to Trust Again After Sexual Abuse
      Nov 19 2025

(Content note: includes discussion of sexual abuse and trauma.)

In this episode, I sit down with my sixteen-year-old daughter, Elli, to talk about something we don’t often hear directly from teenagers: what happens when fear takes over your life after trauma. Elli shares how being sexually abused changed the way her brain worked, how it made the world feel unsafe, and how she began to pull away from people who loved her because letting anyone close felt terrifying.

She also shares the small, brave steps she’s taken to walk herself back toward trust — choosing to stretch her comfort zone, say yes to new experiences, and slowly build a life that isn’t ruled by fear.

This isn’t a conversation about having it all figured out. It’s about what it looks like, in real time, for a sixteen-year-old to tell her story, name her fear, and keep choosing healing anyway.

    • Ep 59 - Naked Note: I Forgot My Why
      Nov 12 2025

In this solo episode, I’m sitting with the truth of feeling unmotivated lately.

Sometimes we enter seasons where the drive fades and we start questioning why we do the things we do. For me, this week was a gentle reminder to come back to my heart and remember what’s real. I didn’t start writing or hosting this podcast for validation or metrics or to prove anything. I do it because it feels like the truest expression of who I am, because it brings me back to myself, to connection, to meaning.

And that, on its own, is enough.

    • Ep 58 - Letting Go to Begin Again
      Nov 5 2025

In this episode, Sarah Heath, a former pastor turned narrative strategist, opens up about what it really means to begin again. She shares how a season of burnout led her to step back from what she once knew and rebuild life from the inside out.

Her work restoring her Airstream, Gidget, became a quiet metaphor for her own process, patching what was worn, honoring what could be saved, and creating space for something new to take shape.

Together, we talk about how letting go can make room for creativity, connection, and a deeper sense of purpose.

It’s an honest, soul-filled exchange, one that reminds us we’re never done evolving, and that sometimes the bravest thing we can do is simply follow where our heart is leading.
