    • Back to School Special - Building Your Toolkit!
      Aug 12 2025

In celebration of International Youth Day, Deanna and Delaney from NAMI Maine’s Youth Education team sit down to spotlight the strength, bravery, and resilience of young people who are leading the charge in equipping their communities with the tools to support those with mental health challenges.

From NAMI Maine Youth Education’s team Rooted in Strength summer event to our upcoming back-to-school campaign, this episode dives into how we hope to celebrate the youth who are stepping up as changemakers and to empower those who wish to know more about supporting their own and their friends' mental well-being.

We start by talking about why International Youth Day is important to us and the unique stressors young people face today. Then we chatted about what’s in our Wellness Toolkit for managing back-to-school transitions. Lastly, we mentioned our back-to-school campaign, Rooted in Strength: Growing in Resilience aims to help students and schools kick off the 2025–26 year with mental wellness in mind. Whether you're a student, educator, or parent, we hope you tune in and hear something that helps you grow your strengths this back-to-school season!
