  • Jesus Doesn't Want Part of You: He Wants All of You | Luke 14:25-35
    14 Oct 2026

What does it really mean to follow Jesus? In Luke 14:25–35, Jesus gives one of His most challenging and confronting teachings on discipleship. He calls those who would follow Him to count the cost, put Him above everything else, take up their cross, and become His disciples. In this powerful message, Equipping Pastor Dave Watson of Moses Lake Bible Church walks through Luke 14:25–35 and challenges us to examine what it truly means to follow Christ. Are we simply admirers of Jesus, or are we genuinely His disciples? Have we counted the cost of following Him?Following Jesus is not a casual commitment. It requires surrender, sacrifice, obedience, and a willingness to place Christ above everything else. But the call of Jesus is also the call to a life transformed by His grace and centered completely on Him.

We pray this message encourages you and that you'll come back for more in the future.

The Moses Lake Bible Church Podcast explores spiritual growth, Christianity, discipleship, faith, and biblical development, helping believers deepen their relationship with God and grow in their understanding of the Bible.

  • The Blood of Jesus & The Hope of His Return - Hebrews 9:15-28
    6 Oct 2026

What makes it possible for sinful people to approach a holy God? In this sermon from Hebrews 9:15–28, Pastor Dave of Moses Lake Bible Church points us to Jesus Christ—the mediator of the new covenant and the only source of eternal redemption.

Jesus did what the old covenant sacrifices could never accomplish. He offered Himself once for all, shed His blood for the forgiveness of sins, and secured an eternal inheritance for everyone who trusts in Him. His sacrifice was not temporary, incomplete, or repeated. It is finished.

    In this message, we explore:

    • Why Jesus had to die.
    • How the old covenant pointed to Christ.
    • Why forgiveness requires the shedding of blood.
    • What substitutionary atonement means.
    • The difference between trusting Christ and self-justification.
    • How Jesus cleanses our consciences.
    • Why Jesus is the one and only mediator between God and humanity.
    • What believers can look forward to when Christ returns.

Our hope is not found in our goodness, religious performance, or ability to justify ourselves. Our hope is found in the finished work of Jesus Christ.“So Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.”— Hebrews 9:28If you are trusting in Christ, rest in His finished work. If you carry guilt or rely on your own righteousness, come to Jesus in repentance and faith. He is our Redeemer, Advocate, Mediator, and perfect substitute.

We pray this message encourages you and that you'll come back for more in the future.

  • The Veil Is Torn: How Jesus Opened the Way to God - Hebrews 9:1-11
    29 Sep 2026

What does the torn temple veil mean for us today? In this sermon at Moses Lake Bible Church in Moses Lake, Washington, Pastor Dave teaches from Hebrews 9 about the tabernacle, the Day of Atonement, and the once-for-all sacrifice of Jesus Christ.Under the old covenant, only the high priest could enter the Most Holy Place, and only once a year. When Jesus died, the temple curtain was torn from top to bottom. Through Christ, the way to God was opened. His sacrifice secures eternal redemption and cleanses us from within.Pastor Dave also challenges us to consider what we’re holding on to. We may not be tempted to return to the old covenant, but we can still put our trust in comfort, possessions, approval, and other things that will not last. Hebrews calls us to hold on to Jesus, respond to conviction, and seek God’s righteousness first. In this message:What the tabernacle and temple veil representedWhy Jesus’ sacrifice is greater than the old covenant sacrificesHow Christ cleanses the conscienceWhy repentance and fellowship matter in daily lifeHow to trust Jesus instead of temporary thingsScripture: Hebrews 9:1–11; Matthew 27:45–54; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Matthew 6:33The veil is torn. The way is open. Come to Jesus in faith and repentance.

  • The World lied to you about Truth - This is what 2 John says
    22 Sep 2026

The world says truth is yours to define. Scripture says otherwise — and that difference changes everything about how we love, believe, and live.

In this episode, we dig into 2 John, one of the shortest and mostoverlooked letters in the New Testament, to understand why the apostle John was so urgent about protecting truth and love together.

We unpack why relativism, skepticism, and "living your own truth" collapse under their own logic, and why real truth has to be eternal, consistent, and inseparable from love to actually mean anything.

We also break down the warning signs of false teaching that crept into the early church, and are still circulating today under new names — from Gnosticism to self-help spirituality dressed up as Christianity.

    In this episode:

    • Why truth and love can never be separated, and what happens when they are
    • The self-defeating logic behind relativism, pluralism, and postmodern "truth"
    • How Gnosticism and self-help Christianity distort the gospel in the same fundamental way
    • What it practically means to walk in obedience as a mark of real faith
    • How the church is meant to build itself up into maturity, using Ephesians 4 as the blueprint
    • Why truth without love turns cruel, and love without truth turns meaningless

    Scripture covered: 2 John 1-13, Ephesians 4:11-16, 1 Peter 1:22,John 8:31-32, John 14:6, Romans 16:17-18, 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12.

  • A Seed of Poison - Psalm 64 & James 3
    15 Sep 2026

Words can build up, or they can tear down — and Scripture warns that even a small seed of bitterness or deceit can grow into something destructive. • A New Covenant, A New Heart: The Promise Hidden in Hebrews 8
    7 Sep 2026

Discover the promise that changes everything in this powerful message on Hebrews 8: "A New Covenant, A New Heart: The Promise Hidden in Hebrews 8." Pastor Dave Watson unpacks how God replaced the Old Covenant with something far greater — a New Covenant where His law isn't written on stone tablets, but on our hearts. In this teaching, you'll discover: Why the Old Covenant couldn't accomplish what God ultimately intended. What it means that Jesus is our superior High Priest, seated at the right hand of God. How the New Covenant promise in Hebrews 8:10-12 transforms your relationship with God from rule-following to heart-level intimacy. Why God says "I will remember their sins no more" — and what that means for you today.

Whether you're studying the book of Hebrews, wrestling with grace vs. law, or simply want to understand what the New Covenant really means for your everyday faith, this message will open your eyes to the depth of God's promise in Hebrews 8. This message was preached by Pastor Dave Watson at Moses Lake Bible Church in Moses Lake, Washington. We're a community committed to knowing Jesus and making Him known through the teaching of God's Word.
