      In this episode, we’re delighted to welcome The Green Kingdom, the long-running ambient project of Michael Cottone. Known for its deeply immersive, nature-informed soundscapes, The Green Kingdom has spent the best part of two decades crafting music that blurs the boundaries between the organic and the electronic. Rooted in themes of environment, memory, and nostalgia, the project offers a contemplative listening experience that invites stillness, reflection, and connection with the natural world.

      Our conversation ranges across a variety of topics, from the evolution of The Green Kingdom’s sound, creative practices and guitar pedals. We discuss how observation, and subtlety inform ambient composition, as well as the challenges and intentions behind releasing music in a thoughtful way.

      In this episode, we are delighted to welcome the creative partnership of Lynn Davy and Adrian Newton. Over the past decade, Lynn and Adrian have collaborated on an impressive and diverse range of artistic projects, seamlessly integrating elements of sound, visual media, and physical art. Their work pushes the boundaries of immersive artistic experience, inviting audiences to engage with art in thoughtful, multisensory ways. Most recently, they have launched Evergreen music, an environmentally focused eco–tape label that reflects their commitment to sustainability and responsible creative practice.

      Our conversation spans a wide variety of topics, from the problem of vinyl to the environmental considerations facing today’s music makers. We explore what it means to create and release music ethically and consciously in a rapidly changing world, and how artists can align their creative processes with ecological principles. And, of course, we couldn’t resist a discussion about spoons.

      In this episode, we are honoured to welcome Irish-born composer Darren McClure. Over the past two decades, Darren has built a remarkable body of work within the ambient and electronic music landscape, releasing under his own name and contributing to a range of esteemed independent labels, including Dragon’s Eye Recordings, Glistening Examples, Impulsive Habitat, and Neotantra. Known for his refined approach to ambient minimalism, Darren's music combines textural depth with subtle compositional nuance, earning him recognition across the ambient and experimental music community.

      Our conversation with Darren traverses a wide range of topics, including his formative experiences in the early UK grindcore scene, his engagement with Japanese onkyo music, and the lasting influence of the late, legendary John Peel. Darren also offers thoughtful insights into his creative methodology and the evolving nature of his sound practice.
