This week on the podcast we are talking about something that everyone has heard of but most people aren't getting enough of...fiber. This nutrient is a powerhouse that has numerous health benefits but it is one of the many nutrients that Americans are simply not getting enough of. We are going to give you the run down on what fiber is, how it benefits our health, the different types of fiber and fiber supplements, and how to increase fiber in our diets the right way.

In this episode, we are giving you all the information you need to know about starting solids through spoon feeding and purees for your baby. While we are big Baby Led Weaning fans, and have done a couple of episodes about this method way back on the pod, this week we talk about why the more traditional way of starting solids may be right for your family compared to Baby Led Weaning. We also give our listeners some much needed life updates and a peek into what is in store for Mom, What's For Dinner? and Jen Belanger Nutrition.

This week we are talking about some very popular topics, including sugary cereals, the BRAT diet, and spreadable butter vs. real butter. We talk about how to handle sugary cereal and some tips and tricks to making sugary cereal no big deal to kids. Then we go into the best diet for when you or your child has a stomach bug and if you should be following the BRAT diet or not. At the end of the episode, we compare six different plant-based spreadable butters to regular butter to determine which is the best option.
