It’s not just abusive people who don’t like boundaries.

We’ve all had someone in our life who guards their time, energy, and resources more than we do.

We don’t like it. It hurts. We feel rejected.

So what do you do when you don’t agree with someone’s boundary – especially if you know it’s coming from perceived limitation or fear?

In the old paradigm, we’re conditioned to negotiate, convince, and even shame each other when we don’t understand or agree with their choices.

Because of this, respecting others’ boundaries and limitations is a skill that all of us need to practice.

This may require radical acceptance, self-compassion, and embodying a new role in your relationship.
